GDT: 2024 Rookie Faceoff. Yay Hockey is back! Rookie Camp starts Sept 12th

The Ducks announced today that the club will participate in the seven-team Rookie Faceoff tournament hosted by the Los Angeles Kings from Sept. 13-16. The tournament will coincide with Anaheim Ducks Rookie Camp, beginning Thursday, Sept. 12 at Great Park Ice (camp schedule and roster to be announced at a later date).

Game 1 - San Jose vs. UHC, 1:00 p.m. PT (NHL Rink 1)
Game 2 - Colorado vs. Anaheim, 3:30 p.m. PT (NHL Rink 2)

I had hoped for better. I'm not sure how long McIlvane spent on the x's and o's with these kids. Colorado plays a much more structured game but we're in the lead in a meaningless game so can't complain too much. Colangelo has been upsetting to watch.

Can't even give him too much credit for getting on the board. He whiffed on the shot on the much better chance cause he let himself get his stick tied up cause he was coasting in toward the net. Then a nothing backhand goes in off a skate.

Not a lack of effort. Lack of brains. Outside of that stretch pass just now, virtually every time he's had the puck he's either passed it right to an Avs player or so wide of his intended target the Avs end up possessing anyway. Like it was actually pissing me off and it's a meaningless game.

Yes. I'm not overly concerned. But our opponent looks better coached. Small potatoes.
