Hell baby

This is the guy ppl have been calling an egomaniac. That’s just cool confidence, people should try it sometime!

love that he fed into the birds are government drones narrative, A+ intangibles #BirdsArentReal

Drake is a very good interview too. When combined with their talent I can definitely see why they’ve both been highly regarded for multiple years.

Good interview, very well spoken. Maye is only 21 YO, vs Daniels who is 23. If we are lucky enough to draft him ( Maye), he will need to sit and learn as a backup for a while. Might be a good idea to sign someone like Brissett or Tyrod Taylor to mentor him?

If we draft any QB in the 1st round they NEED to sit and watch. Plain and simple.

In the most genuine way possible, why?

Is there evidence that QBs that sit for a full year are better long term (serious question)? Most examples we've seen of this are situations where the team is already good and the QB is either old or just okay and on an expiring deal, no?

I'm not opposed to a QB sitting, but it really depends on the guy being drafted, imo. Sitting a 24 year old to "learn" makes me think that that player is not the guy. If it's JJ or Maye, then they probably do need a little more time to learn the game. Caleb Williams & Bo Nix seem the most "NFL ready", but maybe they sit for a few weeks - I wouldn't expect those guys to need a full season.

Caleb Williams put on one hell of an act there. He is an egomaniac and there are plenty of stories and post game nonsense that backs that assesment of him up. Have fun in Chicago Caleb.

Stories from jilted college fans*
Nope. From his ex teammates and other media members not affiliated with either school he played at. His teammates are the guys who spent pretty much 24/7 with him and who would know him best. I will stop being a Pats fan if they draft him.

I can assure you the pats have had far worse people on their team

No kidding but if they want to turn the page, you don't do it with Caleb Williams and his ego. Guy is out there at the combine comparing himself to Aaron Rogers and talking about leaving a legacy like Michael Jordan.

Doesn't help that his dad is also his agent and a real piece of work.

Also, to clarify, the I'll stop being a Pats fan if they draft Williams is hyperbole.

I dont think Williams, Daniels, or Maye are NFL ready from day 1. Maybe Williams is the closest. But I think having your rookie sit first a year is developmentally important, especially for the Patriots. Putting all of the pressure on a kid to be the franchise QB (this is if we pick a QB), I think is detrimental. Especially since we don't have much surrounding the rook. You don't want to repeat what you've done with Mac. They in my opinion didn't do right by him and of course the dysfunctional shit BTS didn't help.

If we go clean slate, you sign the vet. Draft a QB whether in the 1st of beyond, and you let him come in slowly. This isn't going to be a quick rebuild. It's gonna take time. No need to rush a rookie qb, imo

I wouldn't say that Mac was hurt by playing in year 1 though. I think playing as a rookie was a positive for him. They mishandled him in years 2 and 3 as poorly as they possible could. Maybe he's not an NFL QB, but the past 2 years were nothing but dysfunction in NE.

I would prefer to not draft Daniels - I think he is mostly draft year hype, which we see every single year with the QBs and never learn. With all the other guys, I would hate to _plan_ towards sitting the guy - I want to see how they handle all situations (good or bad). We are a very incomplete team at the moment with a huge amount of cap space. If we can't field a decent team next season - at least build an OLine and offensive scheme to protect & support a QB - then there really isn't a long-term plan under Kraft anyway. The college offensive schemes are so much more similar to NFL schemes, so the transition should be so much quicker for guys these days.

With 100 million in cap space, i want them to make Chris Jones an offer he can't refuse and Kansas City can't match. Go get one of the best defensive players in the league. They would still have money even if they re-sign Onwenu, Dugger, Jennings to the higher side of their projected contracts as well as some of the depth guys and made Chris Jones the highest paid defensive player in football.

Also a rookie qb doesn't have to sit. They should just have competition the rookie has to be better than to start week 1. Just like Mac and Cam Newton.

Nobody says they *have* to sit. But considering we're in for a rebuild, it would be best to think about sitting if we do draft a young QB. Can't f*** this up. Throwing a young kid into the fire so fast, I don't need to see it again, unless there are pieces in place for the kid. That means talented WR's and a good O-line. None of which we have at the moment.

He has also declined to provide teams his medical records to go along with not doing drills at the combine. Guys seems like a walking red flag that should be avoided at all cost
