Pats dropped the ball by having this tonight. Someone got too cute with having it on 6/12. This belonged after NBA/NHL seasons. Honestly I would have pushed for closer to the start of the football season in general. I fell asleep when it was live but I'm watching on YouTube now. I'm currently in the middle of Belichick's speech with 25 minutes left but it's kinda awkward with Bill speaking.
I was surprised he got a long ass ovation. He deserved it. But wasn't expecting it.
Me neither it just felt weird even watching it after the "mutual separation" (or whatever it was called) 5 months ago.
It was classy and cool of the fans to give Peyton Manning a big round of applause on his entry

Randy Moss tearing up when the crowd gave him a giant cheer was one of the highlights for me. Others being Manning's reception, Bledsoe being there and being hilarious, and the long cheer for Belichick. Overall I thought it was pretty great. Maybe a little too long since everyone basically hit on the same few characteristics that we already know about, but I'm sure there were a lot of former teammates that wanted to be involved so I can't think of anything specific they could have dropped out after the 7 PM start.
I watched on Youtube. I will say the intro being covered and then them just throwing up a slide while they transitioned to the actual ceremony was a bit worrying, but I found out later it was because they (somehow) were not allowed to broadcast Jay-z's performance (internet scuttlebutt I cannot confirm).
