Man, wouldn’t it be nice to have a team where players just want to join and only want to go there, just so we could pick who we want at rebated prices.

I know Tarasenko had a full NTC, but seriosly were there no other teams he would accept a trade to? Because that's cheap as f***.

Just for once, can the Avs just land one big name player that chooses them over other teams? I still love you Parise but from my count it's goes back to Panarin, Kane, Giroux....

A 4th is less than what it would normally cost just to retain 50%. Tank was probably like Florida or nothing.

We’re getting Kerfoot and you will like it

Pokecheque

I’ve been told it’s spelled “Pokecheck”

What about Giroux? Cap hit isn’t terrible, wouldn’t be a rental and the team tried for him previously.

I'd be okay with that even though he too is old and hasn't been a full-time center for years. But he wins draws, still has a fantastic shot, right-handed, and posts good underlying numbers on a shitty team.

I’d take Laughton
If we can't get an actual #2C, I think a guy like that - who can bring other elements of the game in a playoff series would be my preference over guys who don't really do much in the playoffs like Wennberg and Kerfoot especially if you can get the Flyers to take RyJo and/or retain 50% of his contract.
