Speed is insanely overrated. How players burst and with what paces they can play is far more important than if they skate 23mph with a clear sheet of ice.

Similar to football in that respect, 40 times are extremely overrated. Change of direction and burst in and out of cuts is far more important. We need a goalscorer beside Mitts to maximize his skillset.

Idk if they get another forward based on the Kovalenko comments. I assume he plays 3rd line with 20 and 28, and the top six is set. 4th line have Cogs at center between Parise and LOC?

The question is, if they want to chase another scorer. Backup goaltender should be considered too.

I’m okay with JMFJ being the 6, but the problem is when we have an inevitable injury.

Probably not, but if the team is going to lose a series because of a third pairing were they ever winning that series?

No issues with JMFJ BUT if they bring in a LHD and push him to 7, I am good with that, too.

The Walker/Byram swap on D should make it easier to find a bottom pairing LHD.

Generally a lot more LHD than RHD in the league. But I agree that another depth LHD should be a target.

CMac specifically mentioning Ritchie as someone they think has 2C potential but they want him to continue to develop might signal he’s not going anywhere, which would be good news.
