Our center depth is now Mack-Mittlestadt-Colton with Ritchie in the pipeline, all players under 30, that'll work. Even if Byram flourishes and Mitts doesn't pan out, I can now atleast be happy that CMac went out and got aggressive. Put in the work, live with the results.

Now if we get Guentzel or Buch with our remaining cap space...*insert Vince Carter GIF*

Center problems no more! Small goalie issues next season only.

Get a strong 4c or a little more defensive depth with the cap space. I don't think you spend money on a backup when we have 2 mostly functional options, unless it's really going for it and making something like MAF work.

If the Avs get a Wennberg and a backup goalie they are back in the cup conversation with Vegas Edmonton Florida and Boston. I think even with this they are stronger than Winnipeg and Dallas.

I think the Avs are in it now, maybe not the top like Florida... but in that next group down. The 2nd line should be solved. Walker will dramatically improve the defense and provide much needed balance. A goalie would be really nice with what George is doing. A 4C to PK would also be nice.

We're definitely going for more with the 2024 1st and all that cap space. I'm guessing they'll go for a winger, but I honestly really wish they'd sell the farm for Saros...he's the huge weak spot come playoffs, now.

The more modest move is a backup and a good 4th liner. Which would be fine. Keeps the 2024 1st for either more prospect depth (which they seem to like, based on last season) or offseason flexibility.
