The fact the Avs still have our 2024 1st at least lends to the possibility we aren't done IMO.
But we'll see. CMac already gets an A rating for me this deadline.

Yeah go get that guy and give the rest of the NHL the fingerGet Guentzel too **** it go all in!
Deadline is a 10/10 right now. Everything else is just gravy. Holy shit I was a little sad about missing out on Henrique, but damn that trade for Walker was so much better than what the Oil paid for him. I read (forget where) that the Flyers preferred the 2025 pick actually. Projected to be a deeper draft year.the 1st being 2025 tells me Avs management see this window lasting longer than a couple seasons. They are rebuilding the prospect depth while also competing now. Doesn't have to be one or the other. Win-Win.
Guentzel would be nice, but Saros for George would be absolutely amazing.Guentzel and solid enough 1B would be the dream. A wet dream would be a Georgie/Saros swap.
I'd have to hide my socks... crusty for some reason...
@chet1926 You BETTER f***ing apologize to this man RIGHT NOWView attachment 830517
Too bad we have Fourgiev in net.Drouin-Mack-Guenzel
Nuke-Mitt-Rantanen
Landy-Colton-Lekhy
Wood-Dowd-Parise/Kova
Toews-Makar
Girard-Walker
JJ-Manson
That is about as good as a lineup that you can possibly built. Easily cup favs.
I agree. CMac showed me that he understood the assignment. Get a valid 2C option. What I like even more is that he showed me that he can admit he made a mistake, RyJo, and find a way to turn it into a positive.Deadline is a 10/10 right now. Everything else is just gravy. Between the two deals, don't the Avs now have more cap space?
SiLost in all this, CMac has traded out $7.85M and brought back $5.15M. That leaves another $2.7M to work with if he so chooses.
I wanted to tag you too but couldn't remember your handle in the moment sry lol, chet had just gone off at CMac a page or two ago lol. He’s all growns up!
I knew he had it in him this whole time.
"For awhile" is rightHell yeah, love these moves! This really rebalances the team in a much more sustainable way going forward, and it also changes the narrative around CMac as a GM, which will hopefully make this place a little bit less insufferable for a while.
Didn't even think of this!
