Know nothing about this guy. Do know Calgary wasn't great outside Yakemchuk. 6'2 gritty right shot right wing. I'd have liked Gildof or Marelli but hey it's a Shark third rounder. If anything, we should feel for the guy. Hopefully he's the next Guschin/Greiss, we suck so hard in the third.

That's a Mikey hockey guy, but we are cursed with 3rd round picks so...
I do like the EP summary for him: "Long, powerful strides and driving crossovers launch Wetsch past opponents. With a step, he takes the puck straight to the net. If not, he fires a blistering in-stride wrister. As play goes back the other way, he hunts down the puck carrier and launches them into the boards. He plays a direct, easily-appreciable style."
Sounds like a physical bottom six winger with very desirable traits and some upside.

Loving these picks. Grier is killing it. He’s clearly trying to build a team with an identity. Big, good skaters, and high compete level. This is going to be a grinding team with elite skill guys at the top of the lineup, similar to Florida and even though I hate to say it, that team in Vegas.
This guy is a heat-seeking missile. Like a straight bowling ball. I watched a fair amount of Calgary games.
