Just wondering if any of you recall what the sportsbook odds of us picking Rein last year or Slaf the year before were at a few hours before the draft. It seems like Demidov is a huge favourite to go at #5 (Fan Duel is at -125 and Sportinteraction is at +167). Just curious as to how accurate the bookies were.

Worse than they are for Demidov right now...

I dunno that's why I'm asking I don't want to watch a Leafs centric draft panel.
It's TVA sport, you have a pre draft segment at 6pm starting the usual Latendresse, Lapierre, Lalime, Seguin and co. It is not that bad if you don't expect anything of substance and look to just get the ball rolling.

Lindstrom was interviewed by Laraque and he asked him what his feeling was on who was going to pick him and he said CBJ

Yeah, this is what I think as well. My feeling is he's no.2 on MTLs list after Celebrini as well.

Obviously teams are going to call but man just stick and pick Demidov.
I have an unpopular question but I think it's pertinent to ask.
If Demidov is available at 5, it means teams drafting 2-3-4 didn't liked him enough as a player
or
it's the russian factor
or
by ignoring him they were so wrong like when Jarome Iginla was picked 11th, that year Habs picked Terry Ryan at 8th.

Listening to TSN690, McCagg is being more professional but you can still tell he can't really break down players well. Compare him to someone like Brad Allen at Hockeyprospect, night and day.

I agree with his position on Levshunov, but I would have no idea why he should be at 11 listening to him.

If HuGo can convert 21 to mid teens, could see Barron / Harris + mid teens pick for Askarov.

He will get dealt this summer IMO
With Fowler a couple years away, what’s the rationale for expending such assets for a player who would be a luxury acquistion?
