I'm hoping that the defensemen are in a draftable spot for us. I'm starting to like the idea of Levshunov.
So we should be pretty comfortable picking at 4th.According to some early mocks, this top 3 should be pretty good again.
If you believe hard enough! They're all real names, no?
I’m really glad Levshunov is playing NCAA hockey this year. Between Smith, Celebrini, and Levshunov, it seems I’ll have a lot of college hockey to watch this year.I'm hoping that the defensemen are in a draftable spot for us. I'm starting to like the idea of Levshunov.
Celebrini is about as homegrown as we can get honestly. The franchise would definitely take it and run and hope it inspires a larger influx of kids into the program.A lot can change in a year, but unless Celebrini falls off a cliff I can’t see us passing on him. The fact that he’s also a former JR sharks, while not a deal breaker or anything, is certainly a nice marketing attribute even if he wasn’t really home grown.
For a potential 1OA, I agree. His dad's Warriors connection is also something exploit.Celebrini is about as homegrown as we can get honestly. The franchise would definitely take it and run and hope it inspires a larger influx of kids into the program.
Ok! And when Duclair and Zedina have amazing seasons we can get a couple 2'nds and flip them to a 1st!There are so many quality dmen in this draft. Levshunov, Mews, Dickinson, Jiricek, Hutson, Kivijaru.
That said, I really really hope we get Celebrini. Junior shark, elite center prospect, yes please. Then we can use 11th overall from Pitt and NJs 1st yo move into the top 6 and grab one of the top dmen.
Dream big!
Two things:As far as the Pens 1st round pick
What are y'alls thoughts on RW Sennecke or
RW Masse?
1st, we don't know where exactly either player ends up draftedTwo things:
1) We don't really have any idea where that pick will land, if we get it at all in 2024, and
2) I'd have to check and make sure those are actual real names of hockey players.

Obviously the league isn't rigged but it's gonna be a shit show when Chicago wins the next 2 lotteries. The fans barely trust the league as is and in tandem with Chicago's baggage would really show that legacy matters over everything else in this league."With the first pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, the Chicago Blackhawks are proud to select Macklin Celebrini"

Fortunately, we're not in a position to worry about being overloaded by puckmoving defensemen who play one side over the other.if we dont get #1 or 2, i really like the idea of Dickinson from London. Big shot from the left side, think he set the OHL record for goals by a 16 year old dman. Would be nice to have some puck moving skills from that side of the rink.
An often overlooked aspect of the Boyle/Burns/EK years is we could only move the puck from one side of the ice. Makes it much easier to gameplan around in the playoffs.
How tall was he?I had a dream we won the 1st pick and picked someone I had never heard of. When I checked the boards he was described as “solid but unspectacular”…
You're probably thinking Zayne Parekh for the OHL record. He had 21 goals as a 16 year old defenseman but I have heard he has enough flaws in his game that he won't be a top 10 pick.if we dont get #1 or 2, i really like the idea of Dickinson from London.
