Lindstrom, maybe. Iginla, no. Leonard is a much better prospect than Iginla.
No question about Leonard being superior to Iginla. As for Reinbacher, I think Yakemchuk has a higher ceiling and between Reinbacher and Parekh, I still have trouble seeing Parekh's game translating that well at the NHL level. I may be in the acute minority here, but I'm more comfortable going forward with Reinbacher over Parekh.

Men vs kids is never the most convincing argument for me. CHL players cannot compete against men you cannot blame them on that especially when the level of the league is very poor like in Finland. I do love Helenius ability to compete at a young age but I would never put that production as a guarantee of NHL success.

For instance Puuljujarvi or Kakko looked like the next superstar as a 17 years old in Finland and was clueless in the NHL. I know I thought myself they would develop as good player but maybe their game was overrated because of their production in a men league.

That being said, Helenius game is very mature and he his clearly very apt defensively which bode well for him to develop as a NHL player. I just feel he lacks superstar traits that you would want. Is a 2nd line center satisfying for our first pick?
Man, I loved pool party and Kaka.

Iginla could very well be the best of the three when all is said and done, as could Leonard or Lindstrom. I don't see the point in making grandiose statements such as the one that you made when there is no way to objectively defend such an assertion. All three have similar play styles and are among the very best forwards in their respective drafts. They are too early in their development to suggest that there there is definitively such a huge gap between any of them.

Why not just say that you like Leonard much more than you like Iginla and keep it subjective where it belongs. Otherwise we just end up with competing hyperbolic exchanges that feed each other and drive everyone further from nuanced, rational discourse.

I am not sure about that, he is not as good offensively as people claim he is, he has been playing with top offensive players like McKenna, Wiseblatt and Basha. Still very decent but his hands are not that great neither are his on ice awareness and playmaking ability. I love his skating, shot and physicality but I am not convinced he is a #1 center. I am worried he is another case of just a player that is too dominant to junior player because of his size but not good enough with the pro because he cannot dominate with his size like in junior.
I also think he’s more of a top line winger than a centre. But he really completes our Top 6 moving forward.

Basically confirms Lindstrom will go top 3, so the Habs need to trade up to get him, or Demidov imo
I would love to move up to take him or Demidov. We have lots of currency to do something like this. We could also make a trade with our picks for an already established young player as well. I just want to make shit happen this summer. It's time for our club.

Depending on whom you ask but to me he is in the same range as Catton Helenius, below Demidov. You also have very good D prospects such as Buium Dickinson.

Any injury at junior level is and should be a concern. There are some reports saying he still have back pains. Every time I give an opinion on him it is based on the few things we know. You want him to be an elite 6‘4 center so you choose to ignore it, that is fine. But ignoring risks does not mean those risks are not real
So Slafkovsky is doomed then? Because he was hurt most of his 18 year old season. Basically the same age and missed the same amount of time. What’s the difference?

A) Where did I say Lindstrom is doomed ? B) Slaf has played a full season since his injury hasn t it?

It doesn't really matter if Lindstrom is a C or not. Dach, Lindstrom and Newhook are all going to be options for C in the NHL.

If Dach sticks, it's Dach, if it's Cayden, it's Cayden. Who cares. The team would have a plan A, B and C.
Dach Lindstrom and Newhook.
Dsmn. That’s a line right there.
And they can keep switching off who plays C.

I think we will have a shot to take one of Lindstrom or Demidov. It's just after that where I'm unsure what they'll do. Seems like Iginla. Doesn't seem like Eiserman.

Even if we drop to #6 I bet one of Demidov and Lindstrom is there for us. Too many D needy teams in front of us who all picked forwards top 4 last year... and lots of good D available. Levshunov, Dickinson, Buium, Silayev, Yakemcuk, Parekh. Three of them should go top 5 if we pick #6.

I'm not sure about "always injured". Lindstrom had a surgery mid-season (wrist) and then he apparently hurt his back while training not long before coming back to play and only played a single playoff game.
Yeah I read alot about injuries and whether if he is injury prone.

You don’t want to pick him because of a single injury that multiple people have said is not an issue going forward. Sounds pretty doomed to me.
I don t want to pick him in the top 7 of the draft. Take the risk with later pick not a problem. If he has health issues, you d have wasted a tanking s eason for nothing

There's six forwards and two D's I really want for this team so we gucci gang.
