Not very similar. Pure playmaker vs powerforward.

Jamie Benn would be closer.

Yes, Pronman said there were some but not many in his last conversations.

See how that shifts by end of the year. The playoffs and U18s tends to really separate players.
Tij reminds me a lot of Jack Quinn who I was lower on in his draft year as he was a very early birthday (4 days from being 2019 eligible).

Not going to make the same mistake twice, plus Tij is on the younger side and on a massive upward trajectory.

I like Iginla more than most and there is a very important similarity that he shares with his father, they are both freakishly strong for their size and are great on the wall. The thing that stood out the most with his old man at the same age was his incredible strength despite not being a huge guy. Tij is smaller than his father but I think he could very well be a Jarome light in a smaller package as I think he has better edges and can really wreak havoc in traffic as well as protect the puck along the perimeter as well as being able to score from distance like his father could.

I mean they're fairly close in size during their draft year.

Jerome Iginla - 6 foot 1, 193 pounds

Tij Iginla- 6 foot, 186 pounds (as of right now, this was probably the start of the season)

If Lindstrom wasn't injured for so long, it's clear he would be a legitimate top three draft pick. Maybe, it's a gift going into the upcoming draft.

As well. I wouldn't complain one iota if we drafted either Demidov, Lindstrom, Catton or Iginla. All four of these players have high end skill that make them great picks.

For such an allegedly d heavy draft there sure are a lot of forwards making waves down the stretch. I am not that worried picking at 7 as I would have been three months back.
Same. I really really want demidov but Iginla is a fantastic consolation price if Habs decide to draft him. He's my fav after demidov, no way he's not available at #7

At this moment, I really want one of Celebrini, Demidov, Lindstrom, Catton or Iginla.

But I will be very very happy if they select one of Eiserman, Helenius, Buium, Parekh, Dickinson, Levshunov or Yakemchuk.

So we are guaranted to have a chance to grab these players and I have big hope for all of them.

I'm confident with Habs scouts, I believe that they will select the best player for the future of this team.

So far they nailed it at 2022 and 2023 draft, I hope they nailed it at 2024 aswell!!

Honestly,i don’t want a defenseman with both our first choice

Guhle- Mailloux
Hutson-Reinbacher
Xhekaj-Barron
Struble-Kovacevic
Harris-Koniushkov
Engstrom
You want BPA. If Dickinson or Buium there at 8 you have to take them. Can trade one of our other D get instant top 6 forward. More sure of what you getting also. Drafting for need opens up Kotkaniemi type mistake. You are taking inferior player. Very seldom draft high in draft, never take inferior player. Skill you going to need.

I know I'm in minority but I do t want a defenceman at all. Look like we're picking between 1-7.

Here's my list:

1-Celebrini

2-Demidov

3/4-Lindstrom
3/4-Catton
5-Iginla

That's the only 5 players I wish for.

They did exactly that last year - passing on the superior player (Michkov). Hughes was pretty clear the other day: they’re drafting a forward, even if the big 4 (Celebrini, Demidov, Lindstrom and Catton) are gone by their pick. You can buy your Eiserman jersey now if you want to.
If Hughes takes Eiseman over Dickenson I'd say he's being dipping into the battery acid. Who's going to pass on #1 defenseman for second line forward because of need?

I haven’t seen a single report that lists Eiserman as a second line forward and several have Eiserman ranked as the second best forward in the draft.

His stock has fallen and scouts are disappointed with his D but Eiserman continues to produce at over a goal per game.

I want to come out of this draft with a highly touted forward and I would also like to see the Winnipeg pick packaged with other picks/prospects to obtain a young forward prospect with size and skill.
I would like the Habs to draft a high end forward or a high end defenseman with the first first, and I want the Habs to keep the second first and pick another good prospect.

My top 12 so far (I might offend some...I'm sorry...):
Celebrini
Demidov
Dickinson
Catton
Iginla
Eiserman
Lindstrom
Parekh
Chernyshov
Yakemchuck
Levshunov
Silayev
Your preferences here shouldn't offend anyone.
I'd like to talk with the person who thinks they can prove you wrong.
That is an impressive list no matter how things play out after Celebrini.
I see you aren't a Helenius aficionado.

This is the Habs board...we do get offended fairly easily....:D

Just that I do against the consensus right now. I have maybe a bigger love than I should with Iginla. Just my type of player. I have some doubts about Lindstrom that makes me not pick him as high as most do. Just like I have with Silyaev who will be a NHL'er...just not sure he'll be 2-way as I wish a top 5 player would be.

Frankly though, this is the type of year that while I do have an insane love for Iginla, if for the Habs we end up picking Eiserman...I'll be fine. I'll be fine with a lot of players right now. Might even be fine with Chernyskhov albeit the russian factor.

Dickinson is not a a guaranteed no. 1 d-man and Eiserman has top line potential. Also, FWIW, the Habs braintrust know Eiserman well as he's from Boston (Bobrov still lives there too).
