But the consensus top 4 is Celebrini and Ds while the Habs would prefer a forward, so it works for them this year. That's the lowest I've seen Lindstrom in a while.
This feels just like last draft where there was a clear cut top 4(excluding Michkov) and we're going to be picking right after the big names are gone and there's little consensus on BPA.

Ivan Demidov, F, SKA St. Petersburg (MHL)Cayden Lindstrom, F, Medicine Hat Tigers (WHL)
Thanks... great pick for the habs
plan B
Berkly Catton, F, Spokane Chiefs (WHL)
My picks but I see your pointIvan Demidov, F, SKA St. Petersburg (MHL)
Would Lindstrom be in the same tier as Carlsson and Fantilli? I haven't watched him at all but from what I'm reading he's much more raw and considering his unfortunate injury I feel teams might shy away from picking him in the top 3-5.

Tier below Carlsson, probably similar to Fantilli in a sense. Both athletic guys where the question is how smart are they on the ice.
Hard no. Demidov would be.
So then I don't think it's out of question that these 2 might be available at 5-7.
There's a clear 1 and the rest is all over the place. That's the lowest I've seen Lindstrom in a while.

Not out of the question but could be tough. Columbus is a lock to take a forward, and Arizona is a wildcard.
Can always trade up budGoodbye sweet Lindstrom and Demidov
Hard to say whos going where, aside from CeliSo then I don't think it's out of question that these 2 might be available at 5-7.
After the stretch Habs are about to go on, they might have a good chance at celebrini lolGoodbye sweet Lindstrom and Demidov
He's probably a top-10 player based on talent alone... it's a shame, really. I feel like if Catton can play like a Barzal/Point, he'll be much, much more impactful than Zegras.I think Zegras is much more talented, but Zegras doesn't have it in his lil' brain-rotted head that he can be who he can be, thus he sucks. Perimeter player at best, Im sure he'll have other 60+ points seasons, he's just not gonna be useful doing it. Catton can be that + more and have an actual impact.
… and don’t forget who won the Conn Smythe last season.Again my grand Mother could have been a scout if the only thing to looking at is that the player must be 6.0 and 200 pounds.
Bs.
Half of the best players in NHL history were less than 6.0 or less than 200 pounds.
Rocket
Dionne
Gretzky
Yzerman
Sakic
Crosby
Kane
Bedard
St louis
They were not bad in the playoffs either....
...and some of the most injury prone players were more than 6.0 like Lemieux, Lindros etc..
We are in 2024 for godsake...I dont care at all if the player is 5.10 or 6.2
Bring me 5 or 6 talented players sub 6.0 in our top 9 any day or the week.
Can always trade up bud
That Jets pick is useless on a player for our rebuild
Might as well assure getting one of those guys
could beI'll believe a team will trade down out of the top 4 when I see it
