Please do not upset the lottery powers that be.

Blessed @Rooh, please forgive Chucky, he knows not what he is meddling with, and may you be so gracious to grant all of us degenerate, illiterate, losers on HFHawks back-to-back #1s. Blessed be.

Here’s who I’m hoping the Blackhawks select this summer

1-Macklin Celebrini, f, duh!
20-(TB)Adam Jiricek, d, stacking dcorp
33-Charlie Elick, f, be a nice addition
50-(LA)Will Skahan, d, decent add
65-(VAN)Leon Muggli, d, ditto
66-Alexander Zetterberg, f, Swedish flav
70-(OTT)-Jack Sadowski, f, great HSer
162-Jakub Milota, g, can’t hurt to add a g

I think that looks good…

To think the DeBrincat trade could land us Kevin KorchinSKI, Paul LudwinSKI and Jack SadowSKI!!!

Jakub Milota plays for my hometownish team, the Cape Breton Eagles.

Elick is a defenseman. I’d also imagine there’s a decent chance he and Skahan aren’t available at those picks

If the Hawks draft Catton then between Bedard playing Juniors in Regina and Korchinski and Catton being from Saksatoon, the Hawks would really be leaning into the Saskatchewan roots.

Don't forget our remaining Dach brother! Provided he can find a way to stay healthy.

Not bad. Stacking up some physical D, but we need some forwards. So...

1-Celebrini, F
20-Greentree, F
33-Vanacker, F
50-Skahan, D
65-Pikkarainen, F
66-Mustard, F
70-Ziemer, F
162-Spunar, G

Hoping this is the last year we finish this terrible. A lot was due to our injury issues I get but would like to enjoy watching the games more than recently.

If we look at the teams with low points and where they are slotted to draft we see that even the teams close to .500 are about 5-8.

I don't think this off season brings any major changes. Hopefully some depth scoring is signed to play with Bedard but I don't see anything moving the needle too much.

So having said that if we improve and finish 10 games under .500 next year we were still be slotted around #5 in the lotto.

Not great but anything is better than dead last.

My targets :

RD 1:

1.Celebrini
2.Lindstrom
3 Parekh

TB pick spot: Alfons Freij (LD) or Dean Letiurneau (C)*

* depending on whether we took a C or a RD pmd with our first pick in round 1.If we took a C at #1or#2 then go for Freij with theTB pick

If we took Parekh (Or Leshunov) the RD who can movevpucks up ice and produce points with 3rdoverall pick, then go big C with Letourneau with TB pick in ourc2bd pick in roubd one.

Rd 2:

#33 Letourneau or Freij if onevofvtgesexleftvon the board for us who we didcnot take with TB pick in round one.

Otherwise if off the board then:

i) Nikita Artamanov (RW)
ii) Markus Fernstrom(RW)

Middle 2nd round pick (L.A. pick spot)

i) if we did not take Fernstrom at #33 and he lasts to this pick, take him then .

ii) Colton Roberts (RD)

Late 2nd round pick (VAN pick slot):

i) Roberts if we did not pick him yet ...

ii) Nathan Villeneuve C/RW ...if we got Roberts here,I take Villeneuve with our1st pick in round 3 if he still is on the board.

Dream Draft :

Celebrini (or Lindstrom)
Freij
Letourneau
Fernstrom
Roberts
Villeneuve

If we pick at #3 round 1;

Parekh
Letourneau
Artamanov
Fernstrom
Villeneuve

This only takes us through roubd 2...if Roberts lasts to our 1st pick in Roubdc3 takechom then..
So in this scenario other choices for our 2 picks 3 if available:

.Atos Koivu
.Pikkarainen
.maybe a goalie?

Since I don’t see these guys I’m not weighing in, but it’s an interesting write-up.

I know I'm kind of late to the party on him but I really like what I hear about Basha. Wouldn't mind him at all with Tampa's pick if it stays in the 20ish range
