I have wanted an earlier round goalie for years. Two big guys who will fight plus a goalie in the first two rounds? I am liking the Waddell regime. But who is drafting the short forwards with skill?
I'm hoping Kevin He at #86 or #101

Blackhawks take AJ Spellacy, a Cleveland kid (St Ignatius). Played Football and Hockey...3* prospect had D1 football scholarships offers from Iowa State, Ball State, Central Michigan and Toledo. Chose hockey and is a third rounder.

6'3" 200+ pounds.

Second year in OHL he notched 21 Gs and 38 Pts in 67 Games for Windsor Spitfires.

Dont know much about Marelli's game but that quick little story makes it sound like another character kid in the prospect pool

I have zero viewings of this guy. I'm not even half way through the highlight reel but can already say not bad first impression for a 3rd rounder!

Seems like the drafting strategy for most teams is looking for size and looking to develop bigger players and hope they pan out since there's enough smaller forwards they can sign as free agents.

Don Waddell’s streak of trading down at least once has ended.

Not one pick under 6’2 right? (Aside from the goalie)
