David Savard clone (as a pro, not a prospect) who can skate?
Gudbranson is a closer comp than Savard imo. Savard was an offensive D in juniors and even though was forced to simplify his offense in the NHL he never lost the poise and smarts with the puck. Elick is physically and defensively advanced player who hopefully can improve his offense (breakouts in particular) with a right development plan.

It would have been nice for the Jackets to get Badinka since he's rather underrated despite playing big minutes as an 18 year old in the SHL. He kept things simple, so not really showing off the same skill playing in a men's league as playing in a junior league.

But more physical, shut-down type defensemen who can skate isn't bad to add to the prospect pool.

I have wanted an earlier round goalie for years. Two big guys who will fight plus a goalie in the first two rounds? I am liking the Waddell regime. But who is drafting the short forwards with skill?
