The way he is playing in the playoffs. He may be out of reach if we pick 6 or 7. He is my favorite player in this draft class. I am not saying he is the best after Celibrini. I just love his overall package of size(I think he gets bigger)/skill/speed, blood lines, late season progression and age. Having a Tkachuk and an Iginla on the team and having Keith and Jarome walking around building would be pretty cool.
I don't want Keith anywhere near this team.

I don't believe what Dorion has to say about much so take it with a grain of salt. But he did say in interviews that he wasn't as involved with 2021 as usual and it was implied he wasn't happy about the draft.

Also consider how defensive Mann got when questioned about Boucher. Every time he got his back up.

I think Dorion said find me some size and physicality above all else.

And then they all decided that Boucher had elite physicality of his draft so he is worth taking at 10.

Why not, he was a hell of a hockey player & raised two kids who turned into great hockey players too? He's the father of the captain of the team & I would argue knows a great deal about the ins & outs of the sport, of course he is going to be around & obviously can afford to be. It was his comment that seemed to have turned Florida's season around last yr after being embarrassed by Ottawa in a game & he had high praise for Ott last yr when they were playing well for a while.

Jarome was also a great hockey player & Captain he would also be great around this team, but I doubt Ott drafts Tig Iginla given they have a greater need for a top 4 RD. My guess is that Calgary will likely draft Tig with their first1st rd pick similar to Arz drafting Shane Doan's kid in his draft yr.

Good article on McKeens about Raoul Boilard: Subscribe

Need to be a subscriber to access it though. Brock Otten has provided so much quality free content for years I figured I'd pony up and subscribe now that he's involved with McKeens.

I like Boilard's upside. Has good size, is pretty smart and has top 6 talent. He's an excellent faceoff man at 57% on the year, which is something I actually value pretty highly. It's a pretty good indicator of hockey IQ.

He's not a finished product by any means and is more of a project. Still almost a PPG playing lower minutes on a strong Drakker team is impressive. It's also his first season in the Q, having spent last season in the BCHL.

He is all about contract. Made the conference finals with STL in the year he was traded there and never again, mostly first round exits, .62 ppg in the playoffs. 89 games. A Me first guy. People talk about broken locker room with the old Sens. Chabot was the first to commit to this new era and was going to be the next Captain. Then Brady came and held out and got the C. Then Chabot got to play with scrubs 25 - 30 min a game and they gave Brady linemates. The room is broke in a different way this time and I don't want Keith anywhere near it. Matt is like his father. I don't think Brady is, but they both will influence him. Walt can fck off.

That's an opinion not a fact & you are blaming Brady for Chabot not playing well? lol You clearly don't like the Tkachuks for stuff you made up in your own head. Funny how the annoucers & people within hockey who actually know them have nothing but good things to say about Keith & the Tkachuks. Jamie McLennan played with Keith & often talks about what a good guy Keith was & what a good time they had playing together. Lucky for us you don't get to determine who gets near the team & who doesn't.

Poor take,
FYI, Brady is more like his dad than Matt, now don’t lose it, over that.

To those wanting for Brady to fight his brother, Keith says Matt would get demolished, and the fight would last a couple of seconds, the time it takes for Matthew to hit the ice, after taking one.

Lucky for us you don't get to draft, do free agency, trades or line ups. Look at his contracts and how he got them...and his results in the playoffs.

Then Brady should hold Matt down and fart in his face instead of letting Matt run around. Not fight, scruff him and say Enough or your boys will pay.

Probably take that advice as well.
I wouldn't draft you. Weak takes.

Brady Signed opening day,

Didn’t Alfie miss the start of camp as well, a couple of times. Best to keep it in perspective.

Everyone wanted both to sign, they eventually did.

Ahh they old
Can dish it out, but not take it back.
Got it.

Alfredsson sat out for what a 2.5-3 mill contract after winning the Calder, 70 point season and going PPG in the playoffs?

Brady sat out after 45 point career high and the richest contract in Senators history.

Perspective is important.

Yep, both sat out, Alfie just did it twice.
Luckily neither missed much time.

3 million, about 30 years ago, would be worth what today?

I guess sitting out is the wrong term to use, neither had a contract.

If I would have built the team they wouldn't get pushed around by Florida & there would have been more than one guy in the lineup to take care of these things. Why are you upset about contracts? Who cares how they got them, they have agents & lawyers that take care of that not moms & dads & everything is based on stats & futures. How did Stutzle get his $8 mlil? Are you upset about that?

Sure seems like you need a new sports team, or maybe new sport altogether.

The implication here seems to be Brady didn't deserve his contract, and yet every season he seems to be proving he's worth every dime, the guy has been our best player or damn close to it pretty much every season since Stone was traded.

Both players fought for contracts they were worth, the idea that Brady's contract negotiations are a negative against him has to be one of the more childish complaints. He missed 3 games but actually signed before we played our first game,

And yes, perspective is important, Alfredsson was asking for ~3 mil (his rumoured ask was 7 mil over two years so 3.5 but they settled at less I believe) at a time when total payroll and revenues were about a third of what it is today, team payroll in 98 was 25.4 mil. With that context in mind he was asking for a similar piece of the pie as Brady, arguably more. Both guys wanted to be recognized for the value they brought to the table and did, there's no shame in that.

If you built the team Sokolov would be playing top line minutes alone because you put in players we don't have, haven't been drafted or are no good. Get real bud.

Not particularly compelling.

"Chabot going to be the next captain" is completely unsubstantiated, if he was going to be the next captain, they had the opportunity to do so, but instead we went with no captain until someone warranted being named Capt.

Not sure what the complaints about linemates is about but it has absolutely nothing to do with what posted about or his father, just seems like non sequitur airing of grievances.

Keith being around the team certainly didn't hurt the Panthers, he called them out for their crap and they turned their season around and haven't looked back

Maybe Chabot should have held out for a bit to get the C. I guess Keith runs the panthers than? Or he should call out the Sens and then the team would be fixed?

I honestly don't even know what you're complaining about anymore,

Sure, Chabot should have held out... You claimed he was going to be captain, that was never really a thing. He was among the options being considered, and wasn't chosen.

You claimed Keith being around the team would be bad, he's around the Panthers in the same context of Aragorns original comment, and it hasn't hurt them

Nobody suggested Keith Tkachuk would fix the team, you claimed he would hurt it for no apparent reason other than your own manufacturered narratives

You claimed Keith fixed the Panthers. That's where he wants Matt. Just wait until he decides where he wants Brady.

If the Sens go D with their 1st 2 picks .. (I would) .. there are some decent forwards that could be available with their 2nd round pick.

Cole Beaudoin and Yegor Surin are two. I really like what I have seen from Surin... This kid can play and he plays with a ton of jam.

I wonder if the Sens have scouted the Russian prospects.

I didn't claim he fixed them, I said he called them out, and it clearly didn't cause problems. Weird beef you have with Keith, not sure what's going on their but its not rational, so there's no point continuing, have fun with you Keith conspiracy fantasy.
