I like Keegan Warren near the end of the draft, though I am admittedly biased as I know the family

Will jump to a 40+ game starter next season in Moncton, or elsewhere, is a late bloomer
How big is he?

Complete guesswork on my part but I'd imagine somewhere around there, his father is a big man
I got this theory that teams are passing on good goalies because they are smaller. That's part of the reason why the position has sort of a shortage of good players. Then having not as many good goalies leads to kids not wanting to play the position. There was an old article, What happened to the french canadian superstar. LaFleur, Lemieux... He changed position because of Roy and Brodeur.

Unless our scouting philosophy has changed with Mann gone, I'm pretty sure we're just going to pick Yakemchuk wherever we finish in the 5-10 range (assuming Levshunov is off the board).

Big RD with a heavy shot and slick hands, but more importantly he has twice as many PIMs as games played.

If the Sens pass Montreal and Buffalo , which , imo is likely... they finish 9th from the bottom .. Yakemchuk is available there according to many of the current rankings.. He may still be but he could also creep up a little higher. I don't think there is any chance at Levshunov, Silayev or Dickinson unless they beat the odds on the lottery. We could/may miss on him and may be looking at a forward and drafting an RD at the end of the 1st and/or early 2nd.
Charlie Elick looks like a possible good pick late 1st. Maybe EJ Emery or Dominik Badinka early 2nd.

We don't need to worry at all, we have several solid prospects in the pipeline.

Gotta rack up on forwards and defenders as much as possible this draft.

I'm interested in this subject and would love to get more info as well.

I'll assume we aren't talking about Sogaard here (assume is an important word) as I've watched him enough to wonder/worry how he'll work out,

Sens goaltending pipeline is awful. But the forwards and D are equally as bad. This team needs a RHD. There's three really good ones I just hope they get one. Then it's BPA the rest of the way. That's the beauty if having no prospects you don't have to prioritize any position.

Totally agree in hoping that we end up with one of the top RD prospects in this draft. That just addresses our biggest need by far from a long term perspective.

As for goalies, I just haven't seen enough of our Belleville tenders (or any other goalie prospect playing elsewhere) to have any kind of opinion. I was under the impression that there wasn't any sure thing or highly rated prospect, but I'm not basing this on much admittedly.

A couple more viewings. Dickinson is a stud. Whoever drafts him where ever he is drafted is going to be very happy. He has everything you'd want in a dman and he plays a very translatable game to the NHL. Turns 18 in June. Has a big all situations role on one of the top junior organizations in the country. I doubt he's around very long.
