Florian put in a lot of effort on his footwork and it's really paying off. He's skating much better than he was at the same time last year, better posture and much better leg extension on his strides.
Thought the same thing. Depending on the player, those can be tough adjustments to make so kudos to him for putting in the work.

It’s exactly what he needs to do to get his opportunity at the next level so that’s pretty exciting.

This might be a stupid question. Is Mesar not at camp?

Some of the prospects who are in Europe for their off-season training were left there. Not all of them obviously as Eriksson and Bergqvist are at the camp. But for most of the Euro prospects, the organization decided they didn't want to have them come over for a week and go back. They let them focus on their training and come over for the rookie camp. That's why you don't have Mesar, Engstrom, Reinbacher, and Koivu.

He still has a bulky frame, but he does look in much better shape . He was in the 225 range when he got drafted, which is way too heavy for a goalie .
He weighed in at 219 at the development camp. The 219 was probably not just losing weight but also getting in better shape.

Man Florian is just a different beast. They need to tap into the Xhekaj DNA because these kids are absolute animals. They both could've have made easy money going to NFL linebacker/edge rusher routes. So big, so fast, so strong, so agressive.

Xhekaj and Tuch are going to be two very intriguing prospects in Laval this season. Both of them big, physical, make opponents uncomfortable. And both have shown they have an offensive side.

I don't know why, but a Xhekaj - Condotta - Tuch line could be one of those lines who make life hell for the opponents.
