Where does Figgy rank all time if he wins the BW belt? He’d have to be an all time great
I don't really think he has the resume for being considered an all time great. He only has 2 title defense and went 1-2-1 vs Moreno, which unfortunately took up a lot of his fighting prime. I think he's a fantastic fighter but I don't see really see him being an all time great unless he wins the bantamweight title and holds it for a little while.

I also think his weight class hurts, Mighty Mouse doesn't often get GOAT considerations despite building the flyweight division and lapping the other contenders.

Somebody is trying to avoid the Umar fight

Sounds like Merab wants another payday before skewering his value and drawing ability against someone who doesn't have very much pull or hype to the casual fan.

As Chael always says, fight the easiest guy, for the most money, and the highest position on the card. An O'Malley fight has all 3 over an Umar fight.

Chael was also saying there would be a PPV in LA next month and I’m assuming by LA they mean the Honda Center so I guess that will be the next PPV I get to work. Hoping for another big card, I would be good with Sean/DDP 2 as main event for that, or Islam/Arman 2. Would be a bit disappointed if the main event ended up being Merab/Umar

Seems a little too soon for Merab/Umar.

What about Belal fighting....

How about Imavov and Strickland rematch as a title eliminator and Borralho gets a title shot? Lets get some new blood in here.
Definitely need some new blood but I think they will do the winner of Whittaker-Chimaev

MW seems pretty clear. Chimaev/Whittaker for #1 contender, Borralho vs Imavov for next up.
Izzy is an X factor but probably needs at least one big win to be back in the picture.

Nickal, winner of Pereira/Fluffy, or Shara Bullet would be in line for a big name matchup with another victory too

I don’t mind that they gave Asakura the title shot because there’s no one else that really deserves it (including him), but I really don’t think he’s ready for this. His striking is incredibly reliant on strikes that aren’t going to be legal here. Interesting though that this is going to be his first time fighting at flyweight in several years
