Apparently she can but how effective will she beCan Harrison even make 135? She spent most of her career at 155.
I’m guessing the “crazy” main event Dana is talking about is Islam vs Edwards for the 170 belt given that both Gaethje and Oliveira are already booked.
Id be very happy if this were the case. Then I'd want Chimaev to go back to 170 and get Islam vs Chimaev.I’m guessing the “crazy” main event Dana is talking about is Islam vs Edwards for the 170 belt given that both Gaethje and Oliveira are already booked.
The next 3 ppv are glorious
301 is in Brazil so Pantoja will be defending on that card
302 is likely Mcgregor if 300 isn’t
Not written in stone obviously, but would be pleasantly surprised they put Gaethje-Max over Weili-Yan.So there was a "leak" of Dana's board for UFC 300 and this is the order and how it looks:
Main Card:
Main Event: TBD v TBD
Gaethje v Max
Weili v Yan
Oliveira v Tsarukyan
Prochazka v Rakic
Prelims:
Holm v Harrison
Kattar v Sterling
Nickal v Brundage
Andrade v Rodriguez
Early:
Yuseff v Lopes
Not shown/Board cuts off:
Fig v Garbrandt
Green v Miller
Dana has said there will be a main event announced numerous times and with how much build up there has been, it would be a big let down to come back and say "You know what? Nah, we're just going to move (insert whatever fight has already been announced) to the main event." So, yes, I think there will be a main event announced. Is the general consensus a main event is still coming for UFC 300? As much as I criticized the card, in terms of just the overall quality it's pretty darn good. No huge fight, but tremendous depth. I just can't even envision what the main event could be, certainly not one that'd move the needle at all. At this point I'm not sure the event needs it anymore.

I think they are trying to get Izzy vs. DDP or Pereira and have Leon-Belal as the fall back option. If I was Izzy, I wouldn't want the Pereira fight. It was a triumphant moment to finally beat him and I wouldn't want to risk that ending to the story. DDP has talked about being pretty banged up after the Strickland fight, so not sure he'll be ready or if he's just negotiating. I'd say:
50% Leon-Belal
40% DDP-Izzy
9% Pereira-Izzy
1% something nobody is really thinking of
Another crack at the LHW title might entice him.Dana has said there will be a main event announced numerous times and with how much build up there has been, it would be a big let down to come back and say "You know what? No way Gaethje was gonna fight anyone but Islam, too. Just sayin'.They aren't main eventing Belal. Better chance of Conor in there.
I think it would be the biggest main event they could realistically do. I just wouldn't take it if I was Izzy.Another crack at the LHW title might entice him.
I think Adesanya vs Pereira 3 (or 5) would be an acceptable main event. There is no way they go with Leon vs Belal for a card of this magnitude.
