I thought the rose fight was meh, but she got the win and rose is no slouch so can’t fault her too much.

I’m definitely higher on Blanchfield
She barely squeaked out a win against a girl that looked to be half her size.

Maybe she'll prove me wrong, but I just don't see it. I think she'd be the underdog against Blanchfield and Valentina, at best a coin flip against Grasso or Andrade, and I wouldn't even put it past Chookagian (who's name is now Cerminara apparently) to beat her in a rematch.

Fiorot was visibly significantly bigger and Rose broke her finger or whatever in the first round and couldn't throw with one of her hands, with all that Fiorot still did virtually nothing against her.

4 straight decisions, she's just not a fans fighter. She could win the title and still not be a fans fighter and that's okay but she's still good.

Middleweight has such a funny cast of characters man

I like Brendan Allen and this was so close to being good but saying "I don't do this little he said she said drama" while actively doing the little he said she said drama, makes this an instant L.

I feel like that fight doesn't get 300 one extra buy, but could've been used to significantly help a card down the line. I realize you can't headline 300 with the BMF title, but this was a bit of a miss IMO. It's depth for a card that already has an abundance of it.

I think you're overrating the IQ of a guy charged with assaulting his brother over his brothers comments around being a dead beat dad lol

I think you're overrating Pereira's ability at light heavyweight....

Hill is a really good fighter and looks better each time I see him. I favour him in this fight. Pereira obviously has a punchers chance with his power, but I expect the range and being a better all round fighter to benefit Hill more and see him being victorious.

He just won the title at light heavyweight by viciously KO’ing the former champ. He’s still a big 205’er too.

Pereira looks better in the grappling department every time I see him, working with Glover will do that though.

It’s striker vs striker and I think Pereira is the better striker who has also survived much better grapplers than Hill

I mean against active LHWs their wins are...

Pereira - Prochazka + Blahowicz

Hill - Walker + Crute

Hill was given an afterthought shot at a title, as the like 7-8th ranked guy in the division, against a 43 year old. That's the last time we saw him. Honestly I think if anything it's Hill that should be given the benefit of the punchers chance.

I agree. This was clearly a fallback option, but they talked themselves into a corner by hyping the main event as some crazy surprise. They couldn't come out and say, never mind it was a fight we already announced.

I didn't see this particular fight coming, but I was prepared to be underwhelmed. I was anticipating Leon-Belal, so I'll take this instead.

In the post fight presser, Dana was naturally asked about UFC 300 main event. I don't think he said Pereira or Hill's name and then went on to praise Leon. Strange.

Hmmm. Chimaev and Shavkat I think are givens. Thought Belal would have been one, too.

Chimaev probably can't get into the country.
No idea what the issue with Shavkat would be.
No idea who the 3rd could be.
