Someone needs to make sure that's actually Sorokin and not some decoy Lou sent out there.Great sign. Don’t rush him back. I don’t care if it isn’t until January. Let him get 100%
Kincaid signed an AHL deal with CapsI know it's somewhat risky going with Kincaid for a backup but I would rest Sorokin for like 20 games that way we can use his LTIR caphit to help our cap situation and guarantee he comes back 100% healthy
No idea and I hope not. I really wish Lou would just waive Fasching already and sit down with Matt Martin and offer him a job at the Bridge or somewhere in the organization. Looks like Roy wants speed up and down the lineup. I know we are talking about bottom 9 and possibly fringe players, but there are just too many bodies up front. I for one would like to see Foudy and Gauthier stick around some.Any word of Liam Foudy - has he been waived yet? Not skating with the full team

As far as the backend, I hope Lou tries some cap gymnastics because depth on D is important and I would try to keep both Cholowski and Bolduc. Injuries, Reilly is long in the tooth and only signed for 1 year. RD depth is a concern.
I’ll say this about Reilly. He may be 31 years old but he’s low mileage. I don’t think he’ll have a dropoff in his abilities so soon.As far as the backend, I hope Lou tries some cap gymnastics because depth on D is important and I would try to keep both Cholowski and Bolduc. That's a solid point.31 is long in the tooth? He's only a year older than Pelech and Pulock.
Agree on Fasching. He's not a bottom sixer. Plays like he has eggs in his pocket. Give Foudy a shot.No idea and I hope not. or....give Fasching pockets...and put eggs in them....would be fun to watch.Agree on Fasching. He's not a bottom sixer. Plays like he has eggs in his pocket. Give Foudy a shot.

Fasching is fine for a <10 game injection. After that, the shine wears off.Agree on Fasching. He's not a bottom sixer. Plays like he has eggs in his pocket. Give Foudy a shot.

If they can get value out of him for those ~10 games, they will have done well for him. For all we know, that could also be the case with Foudy, Gauthier, Karlstrom, and Wahlstrom but when you combine those five that’s 50 or some games for a 12th forward playing 10 minutes a night.
Well Gauthier clearly has had the best camp of the bunch based on how Roy has deployed lines the last couple games, so it seems reasonable that he would get the first crack. Fasching suffered a setback, so he needs to work himself back into the lineup through standing out in practice. And how do you choose which ten games for each? You come up with that and I'll go half on some Powerball tickets . . .
Send them both down and hope for the best. Julien Gauthier went in the 1st round and wasn’t claimed.Well Gauthier clearly has had the best camp of the bunch based on how Roy has deployed lines the last couple games, so it seems reasonable that he would get the first crack. After that, I'd think Karlstrom would pass through waivers without issue at this juncture. Foudy and Wahlstrom are both former first rounders with an NHL caliber skill (Foudy's skating, Wahlstrom's shot), so you have to be a little more cautious on how you handle them.
Should mention those ten games he looks promising would be on Nelsons wing. On the fourth line I have no time for him.Fasching is fine for a <10 game injection. After that, the shine wears off.
