Unless Reichel has a disastrous camp, he won’t be starting the year in the AHL.

Korchinski is very likely to be in the AHL. They’re going to course-correct that mistake.

I have no problem with both guys being on this list. Neither has established themselves as NHL players and they’re both 22 or younger.

Literally the only logic that need be applied to this discussion about eligibility is:

1. Are the players in question bonafide NHLers? Yes or no.
2. Are they young enough to have room for improvement? Yes or no.

I think a fair age cutoff is 23 prior to the season starting.

I think that cut of should be are they allowed in Calder voting.

No need to make new since Lev is winning.

Agreed, Lev already ran away with Number 1, just leave Korchinski, Reichel, Kaiser and Phillips off going forward.

I agree, Calder eligibility makes too much sense to not be the guidelines to follow

So Vlasic shouldn’t have been considered a prospect last year, nor should Reichel have been? Despite the fact that both hadn’t shown they were NHLers heading into last offseason?

Nazar I think has a higher ceiling than lev.

Fight me.

Voted Nazar. Definitely didnt think it would be this lopsided for Levshunov. Personally don't consider Korchinski a prospect after playing a full season in the NHL.

Well lets get this thing going. I am at work and I am bored. Lets start. I am going to leave off Bedard because thats obvious. Everyone else is fair game in my opinion. Even Reichel, he's still developing.

I was between Nazar and Levshunov. Voted Levshunov.
As I said last season, these types of polls need a timeline. Are we looking at 1yr, 3 yrs, 5yrs, 7 yrs? I doubt very much that a poll for 1 yr would resemble a poll for 5 yrs..... and since 5 yrs is probably what we're realistically looking at,,,,, it's a crap shoot at best. Hope I'm wrong and in 3 yrs, Hawks will be a playoff team (at the worst and a SC semi-contender at best).

We vote every year.
