They're still stuck on his p.o.s. Dad. Not to say Tyler isn't a little shit himself but he strikes me as the type of guy you hate when he isn't on your team but love when he is on your team. Hawks did their due diligence on his character. Plus it helps that Foligno and Dickinson have both played with him in the past. If Bert was an issue, one or both of those guys definitely would've said something to the front office.

Todd is his uncle. Although Tyler is an anti vaxxer so maybe not the brightest. Haven’t heard teammates ever complain about him though.

Love the Foegele mention. He is a LuRich player through and through. Had a tremendous playoffs and works his bag off. Could see us going for a guy like this and playing him more minutes than most teams probably would.

Would also love to see one more PP specialist signed for cheap. Just one more guy for people to key in on other than Bedard. Even though he is garbage defensively, a cheap Jeff Skinner would help in that regard. Maybe a Marchessault.

i really like bertuzzi. maybe a bit of an overpay, but only by about a million or so, and that's reasonable for signing with this team. also looking at some of the other deals that are getting signed i might be judging by too old a standard.

I like the Bertuzzi signing, interesting they pivoted from 2 year contracts in the last few extensions to now a bit more term

I don’t particularly like Bertuzzi but I get why it had to happen. That’s a legitimate top 6 forward with a skillset this team desperately needed
