If the bookies published the probability, I see the nomination of Zohorna at 10%
That is, if Rulík still has eyes:D

And what you just described has zero value to me and is completely stupid approach which doesnt work imo. So lets just agree we disagree and not further comment on this. At the end we wont change anything and its up to Rulik what he decide.
I just don't like idolizing the NHL as a league of gods or something. The fact that somebody has played some games in the NHL doesn't make him automatically a better player than any player from any European league. This "oh my God, NHL, superhumans" attitude was perhaps understandable in the 90s when NHL was something like a distant myth for most of the Czech fans, but today?

Potential US or Sweden crossover quarter too!
Unfortunately yes. Everything points to that. But we're not in the quarterfinals yet, and to be honest, I'm starting to worry. According to the names, the quarter-finals should have been a must, but the players are not at ease, nervousness can get to them and they can fail fatally.

2010 u guys won with this team, just 4 NHLers

Different times, the gap between NHL and Europe was much smaller back then. Not a lot of NHL guys for other teams beside Russia too. Plus we had really top players in Europe, who were really elite.

I get that, but clearly that gap is big. And I just dont like favoring euro guys over NA cause they played 3more games in friendlies before tournament and scored two goals against Austria. I really dont like that system where we have milion average guys in the team and then selecting them based on one or two good games, or whether the play good again weak opponents.

Look at Canada (true they have always better team but still), or moreover look at USA, they bring together team who doesnt play a game together before the tournament and then almost always play good hockey and advance to semis. And those are teams build exactly from Nosek´s, Vranas´s, Zohornas´s types of players, those 3-4 NHL liners or AHL, university even guys. And then they play against our carefully picked out euro team, which is based on a performances against Austria and Germany, and we learn that they are level above us and we cant keep up.

I am not saying favor all the guys who come from NA, but at the same time dont favor the euro guys just cause they are available earlier and can play 2-3 more games, That equally stupid.

So dissapointed with Rulik, I believed in him, that he will finally bring some change and fresh wind into this, bring some interesting players, something to be excited about.

What we get, boring f***in boring and average shit players from ELH year after year, exactrly the same players, who are always shit at WCH but we are f***in bringing them all over again, you could have add Sobotka and Horak and we will be complete with this shit ffs.

We are like idiots banging head on the wall, hoping we will punch through. But innstead ending with concussion year afte year because doing this is clearly stupid.

f*** czech hockey really

I am not even excited to watch this f*** .. I can clearly tell already its gonna be terrible

Yeah get back to me when we got smashed 5:0 in QF by USA .. bye

So psyched to see Lenc, Kovarcik, Beranek not scoring all over again. Havent got enough of that last year lol. its gonna be amazing.

And watching Scotka, Krejcik getting outplayed by no names from Norway would be equally amazing. Cant wait for that also.

We are playing on home ice and bringing team which will be lucky to even advance to qf

No Tichacek or Vrana, but with Scotka and Kovarcik, Beranek, Kousal, Lenc...🙃
I was expecting Ticháček to make it. Perhaps instead of Ščotka or Hájek. It is a pity in my opinion.

Otherwise a reasonably composed roster. I had some belief in Vrána to make a glorious comeback, but he was simply weak in the preparation games. I mean, literally weak in physical battles. If he had scored 3-4 goals I would say, OK, bring the sniper in. But he didn't. The same case: Michael Špaček.

Tomáš Nosek probably had a chance until Kämpf confirmed he would be coming. They are both exactly the same time of a forward, with Kämpf being simply significantly better.

Zohorna was completely invisible, there was no point in even considering him. He is surely capable of playing better but this was not his time.

Possible forward lines:

Červenka - Sedlák - Kubalík
Stránský - Tomášek - Palát
Kaše - Kämpf - Voženílek
Kovařčík - Kondelík - Flek

What exactly Hajek showed in those games that he deserves nomination? What Scotka showed? Tichacek played well and he is f***in offensive D we dont have any of those. ..

Vrana was one of the best in the team and he says he didnt have the performance they liked?? Yeah on the other hand Beranek who would not score even in open net from one meter is a complete god ffs

Czech hockey is dead and will be dead unless we stop with this EURO > NA bullshit and unless we stop bringing players based on 3 games in the friendlies against Austria

So no Jiricek, then... As for Vrana, Chlapik, Zadina, Spacek, they simply didnt show enough. Zohorna and Nosek lost to Kampf, and then its "more safe" to go with the experienced ones on the rest..

But yeah, kind of a weak squad. Was hoping for some more young blod. David Spacek is kinda cool, though.

I see we are serious about the Gold.lmao
Its gonna be only a serious disaster thats all. Hate to be that guy again, but so far I predicted it at last year wch and at this year U18, cause those teams seemed way off for me from the start. Hate to be 3/3 but here we go lol

A small evaluation of a few names that are worth mentioning..
Hájek - after yesterday I thought he wouldn't go to the tournament, but today he played a better game. Unfortunately, the competition in defense is absolutely dismal, so I was not that surprised. Košťálek, Mašín, Zábranský... they are even worse.
D. Špaček - I'm quite surprised, he had good moments in the game, he also had bad moments
Krejčík - I don't like him, I think he will make a few more misses in the game in the tournament and then the coach will clean him up
Vrána-played better than I expected. I thought he would be on the team
Michael Špaček-again disappointed and did not show anything extra. He is a soft player
Zohorna - satisfaction that he is not nominated, I saw absolutely nothing that would interest me
Beránek-it's clear that you can't expect a hockey superstructure from him, but he leaves his soul on the ice, unlike Zohorna
Lenc - that this player took Vrán's place, that's a surprise
Kovařčík, Kousal, Flek - other players on the edge of the lineup, it just proves how narrow our squad is
