Brian Flores may be drawing some interest with the Bears, he has a good track record with young QBs

He has admitted he made mistakes with Miami and by all accounts and learned from them. Since that gig he has been under two of the best HC's in the league in Tomlin and KOC. Based on everything I've seen and heard from him with the Vikings I think he deserves another shot. I have a hard time believing owners would give him that shot but we'll see.

He's still a fiery guy so while he may handle a young QB differently, it still probably won't be the softest touch. It'll have to be a team/QB who can handle that approach and won't go crying to the media about him being a big bad meanie.

Issue for him is most teams that change HC are going to prefer an offensive guy.

The 2 clubs that draft Sanders and Ward would if they don’t keep their current HC. Jax, Chi would want an O side HC for their QB.

Limits these defensive HC to more veteran or non rookie contract QB teams. Like the Saints if Carr returns as QB.

Hoo boy. That would be annoying but would be tremendous for NE...Hopefully Kraft sticks with Mayo lol.

On a unrelated note , I think Liam Coen will be a name that will appear in many HC search this offseason. The guy is a wizard. He helped start to turn Baker around 2 years ago with the Rams and has carried that over to his gig with the Bucs this year.

Poles sucks and is just as responsible for the disastrous Bears seasons of late

can everyone in that organization but Kevin Warren, and HOPE that the new GM and coach can somehow salvage what remains into a professional team

He does have AZ Cardinal HC money. But, he should leave for a good opportunity. If not there, then, yes, stick with the QB. Don't join a Giants team without a QB for example. But, any OC can take a hit. Was a time when Leftwich was a HC candidate. Swolik and Stroud not performing as well in year 2. Probably puts him back a year.

Surprised Poles isn't out of Chicago yet. He's an awful GM

The whole organization needs to hit a hard refresh.

He came from the Chiefs front office thinking he can GM cause ZOMG Mahomes and Reid.

Let’s get this out the way, anyone coming out of the Chiefs front office because of their recent success should be taken as a grain of salt. The success is strictly Mahomes and Reid, to an extent Brett Veach.

Poles was there just to make coffee and make fart jokes.

There will be a lot of competitions for coaches as many teams are looking to make some changes. I see quite a few teams panicking and possibly making the wrong choice as the candidates have more options to choose from.

Ben Johnson will have his choice. Going to get a better deal than Rhule got given the demand for his services.

But a lot of teams are also looking for new coordinators. Some units underperformed so expect changes to those roles as well.

Word is they’re going to interview a lot of people.
It's smart to do. The only real risk is seeing someone you really like go on to another interview and ending up there while you go through your process.

Which is such a different approach from a team like the Cowboys. Jerry doesn't like to interview coaches. He instead identifies the white guy he wants and then hires him without looking around at all.

And their o-line coach. Both were hired before this season. Dorsey was brought in to help craft an offense to help Watson succeed, and Watson only looked the worst yet.
Stefanski was calling plays until Watson went down for the season and was still involved in all the planning after that, so Dorsey is getting a bit of a tough break given what he had to work with. But also his time in Buffalo was full of really awful play calling so it's not shocking that his offense looked bad.

Either way, I don't really expect them to improve between having zero talent at QB and still having Stefanski in charge.

The reason to believe Stefanski isn't the problem is the Browns finished 10th in scoring last season despite losing Chubb early and having a similarly chaotic rotation of QBs.
