In the NHl the best players are lethal when they are able to do a.lot of variations on the zone entry.

...and Demidov is so lethal with this.

Impossible for a d to know if he has to give him the blue line or not.

Kucherov is a master with this.

Sakic, Gretzky etc before him

As long as the idiot thinks Demidov is proving him correct, he can ruin other prospects with the same approach later.

He certainly tried hard to keep Demidov from setting rookie KHL records.
Yeah he was poised to smash them. Bit of a shame but it doesn’t really matter. It’s clear he’s as skilled as anyone and he’s gonna be a huge boost. Our offense is going to be absolutely evil when he comes over.

Rotenberg doesn't give a toss about any record Demidov does/doesn't set. He cares about proving his own hockey philosophy correct.

This is why getting Demidov away from Kuznetsov has been so beneficial.
Demidov can now drive the play. Bardakov and Plotnikov are perfect partners for Demidov.

I really like how he's always moving in the offensive zone and his reads seems to always be the good one. The most exciting offensive prospect since Caufield and dare I say he's even more exciting ?
I’m one of the bigger Caufield Stans here and that’s an understatement. Clearly more exciting but Caufield is turning into a star before our very eyes.

I've said it before but,
In my eyes, he has already surpassed the Michkov vacation KHL season

But the Kaprizov KHL stuff is insane, what a player, making 9M now and free agent at next* season's end.. someone's getting paaaaaaiiiiiiiiiddddd
Aren't Demidov’s PP/60 higher? That's what should really count

The problem is Rotenberg will look at Demidov’s most recent success and think he was justified in benching him before when it’s obvious Ivan would have dominated this way all season.
It's np

In a few months

We will never even say that idiot coaches name ever again
Won't have to ever THINK about the guy lol

Forget about Kaprizov and Michkov, Demidov’s #1 for P/60 right now in the whole KHL, and it’s not even close.

I want that other goal back to Demi.

I also just learned that Frederick Gauthier & Jeremy Roy are playing for the other team, 2 guys that I overhyped 😅

I am not talking about results here but in the next few years we will have the Habs most spectacular team since the late 70S !!!!

Demidov
Hutson
Caufield
Laine

They are all spectacular in their own way. Imagine the first power play unit...even 5 vs 5

We had few years here and there with Richer, Naslund and Courtnall in 88-89..... or with Kovalev etc...

93 was not a spectacular team....Les Nordiques and the Pens were a lot more fun to watch.

..but now...watch out people...The Habs could be the most fun team to watch...next season and beyond !!!!!

Somewhat, but iirc both Kaprizov and Michkov faced top opposition throughout their rookie season, whereas Demidov spent part of the season versus lower opposition, roster-wise. His use has changed recently and he's showing he's just as good as them against tougher opposition.

Damn, the kid is good.

Stylistically he reminds me a lot of Nikolai Zherdev... who could've been an elite, elite NHLer if he wasnt so amazingly lazy.

The issue is that he’s crushing the whole KHL on that stat and he’s certainly not the only one that played against lower opposition but he’s the only one who was left off the PP. Were not taking about rookie, U20 stats like Michkov and Kaprizov but entire KHL stats.
