It's going to be a long year waiting for this kid to come over and play for the Habs. I don't think I've ever followed the KHL so closely before . This kid's hockey IQ and sick mitts are off the charts I can't wait to see him in a Habs jersey on the ice for us.

Me too man I can't wait, me too!!

I followed Michkov’s games last season. He was very opportunistic but didn’t dominate the play like Demidov does. Michkov also looked like a kid playing with men. Demidov looks just as fast, big and strong as anyone else. Pointless to argue on the main board over this. But I much prefer what I see in the KHL from Demidov than what I saw from Michkov.

To me the comparison is pointless. They are very different players. Demidov is by far better at creating space for himself and his teammates but Michkov has such a shot and an ability to create the space he needs for that shot that it s hard to picture how he won t become a top goal scorer. Who has the most impact remains to be seen.

Demidov showing is impressive but in the future let s hope he manages to get those points that he could have had. ;)

Exiting little thought that I know a lot of you have picked up on already

Last regular season game for SKA is March 22nd while the Habs regular season end on April 15. There is a scenario here where we see Demidov in a Habs uniform for at least the last 3 weeks of the season.

SKA probably going to make the playoffs though right?

I also don't think they'd be in a rush to burn a ELC year to get Demidov over here for a game or two at the end of the season - however, if the opportunity is there and he will sign and come over, I don't think you f*** with it and just do it.
Since he's under 20 years old, he would need to play 10 games to burn a year.

It's nice to see Ivan get off the schneid.
I've already seen enough in the games I've watched to not watch anymore. :sarcasm:
Is it wrong to wish we were already in the 2025/26 season when we haven't played 2024/25. :help:

How do the playoffs work there?

The same as everywhere, till you win 4 games, not sure about will they play every other day, but they usually do. The fact of matter is teams in the KHL are pretty close nowadays, especially those which make playoffs so with SKA playoffs suckage they can lose even in the 1st round.

Dunno, I’m in my 50’s and have decided to enjoy every bit left; would rather live this one out! Glad the top 6 is shaping up and they are trying to play good offense not gonna lie.

Having something to look forward to is fun though, so many stories unfolding. A Mailloux to Hutson to Demidov breakout - cuts middle - scores promise does make me smile.

And miss out on this season's stories? It would suck to know how Laine played out without seeing it.

Colored jerseys are a way to distinguish between lines in practice. But "1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th lines" exist in name only.

Generally speaking, most KHL teams run 3 somewhat equal lines, maybe 4. Usage then varies depending on game situations. It goes back to the old Soviet style.

It's not like the NHL where lines are rigidly role specific.

3rd line.

They got my boy back on the third line after he rejuvenated their offense last game? Is Rottenbrain even trying to win? Bruh...
