Like I disagree to the end with Tony's politics, but most of what he's hated for are just speculation. I'm not going to vote for Tony for president, but that doesn't mean that I can't be in the same room with the guy. Geez. You make things worse when you put your fingers in your ears when you're near someone you disagree with.

By all his actions as a Canes player, he seemed like a great teammate and a helpful mentor towards others.

And then a few of the Twitter mob got mad that you were giving him a "platform"...to what, speak, exist? I doubt it was just going to be "So Tony tell us everything you think about politics" free-for-all. And then you gave into the mob and cancelled altogether because...Lacking a backbone? Knew you wouldn't add anything or be able to defend your stances? Should have just cancelled and let that be it at "no comment" or "i changed my mind", the "apology" comes across as incredibly insincere, echo-chamber-y, and narcissistic.
