Buffalo is on a 10 game losing skid. Levi was called up & played in the loss against Toronto on Sunday.

Montreal & Buffalo have identical records: 11-16-4 for Buffalo & 11-16-3 for Montreal, who has played one less game. They even have the same amount of RWs (8) & ROWs (10). Buffalo's goal differential is much better (-12 to -31). They don't get blown out as much as Montreal does.

Montreal getting 2 pts means they jump Buffalo and move out of the East's basement.

Both these teams are thinking the same thing: "This is a winnable game."

Slight advantage to Montreal, as they're playing at home & actually have a .529 winning percentage at home.

They’ve lost ten in a row. We lost ten in 12. A four and six game streak sandwiching two wins.

Re-watching the Jets game and trying to analyze things; there are some changes to the forward lines If like to see:

Caufield - Suzuki - Slafkovsky
Laine - Dach - Anderson
Newhook - Evans - Heineman
Armia - Dvorak - Gallagher

First line is all skill, second is skill and size, third is energy with speed and some skill and the fourth is what's left over.

Thought about Gallagher on the third but I don't think he should play over Heineman and we need Newhook to develop into something of worth. So Gallagher gets anchored with the wortless, useless bums.

While Anderson isn't ideal for a top six role, his board play of late has been good and he could maybe help out Dach and Laine with that sort of play. Maybe he gets inspired on an offensive line and brings some of his mythical grit to the line as well. If he fails here, switch him with Heineman.

I love the enthusiasm here... LOL.

Should be a doozy. "Too bad" I have xmas dinner at a brazilian BBQ place, otherwise I'd be all over that classic game. Shacks!

They should call up Flojack! And let him and his brother loose :D

Yes. Anderson carrying Dach who is back with Laine centering the 2nd. FML.

yikes Buffalo 10 game losing streak? Wonder if they have a series on Crave about rebuilding and how they are actually in the mix.

Listening to 32 thoughts and Friedman mentions that Pegula will accompany the team to Montreal, so the Sabres might be really ready to go
To go where, the trade route?

How involved is Pegula in his team’s management? His presence at the BC might mean something more or not. Not sure what to make of it, probably a nothing burger. 💀

and Marty
This is the game where we as fans will say..."we have officially hit rock bottom".
And Marty will put a spin on it by saying something like "well they were due for a win after 10 losses" you know after all he was very encouraged by sat night's loss,Wow what an accomplishment after 3 years behind the bench

I would try:
Caufield - Suzuki - Slafkovsky
Laine - Newhook - Gallagher
Heineman - Evans - Dach
Armia - Dvorak - Anderson

First line: they have good chemistry and youngest Slaf for his proper development need to play with older and better players (in this team it is only Cauf, Suz and Laine)

Second line: Laine (one of four best forwards and true top 6 of this team), on 2C Newhook deserve this spot (when i should chooce between him, Evans and Dach), Gally can bring experience, he deserve to play some games in top 6 (in this weak team) and he can prove to belong there

Third line: there is some talent, guys can try it together

Fourth line: for me these are weakest offensive players and they should focus on checking

Interesting. Except they are in year 13 of their rebuild. We're on year 3. I grow tired of losses so hoping for a resounding win.

Rangers struggled with 5 losses in a row? Montreal helped them get their win.
Sabres struggle having lost 10 in a row? Would it surprise anyone if they get a win over Montreal?

Habs also got screwed by poor officiating that NYR game, and overcame those obstacles to tie it up in the 3rd only to have Dach get a careless penalty at end of the game

Habs are gonna win tomorrow, team played well in Winter-peg and has started to turn things around - I’m expecting a good week in terms of results for Habs

You are correct about that. But out of all the teams that the Rangers didn't lose to, the Habs were the ones.
