Most GMs are shit. How many passed on Michkov after Carlsson and Fantilli were taken? Both Montreal and Columbus passed on Demidov.

Levshunov was considered the 3rd best player by a shit ton of people. It wasn't a reach. I'd have preferred Demidov, think he has a better chance at being a difference maker and we need that up front, but picking Lev over him is better than a team like Anaheim picking a kid who was literally shocked to hear his name that early. Or Columbus picking a kid with a f***ing broken back.

Davidson's role has been mostly inoffensive. His biggest contribution is tearing things just right to where we lucked into Bedard. He has done little to show that he has or hasn't been ass at his role so far.

So I ask you, who do you want to replace him with? Give us a name of a GM who would've picked Demidov at 2nd. A GM who you wouldn't find fault with within a couple years and then dedicate the majority of your posts here to shitpost about.

Look at the team play right now, he has had enough time to create a team that is competing for a playoff spot but we are still bottom feeders.

I know a move is good or bad and I know which moves I would have made. I can criticize him based on his moves or lack of moves, that’s easy, for most they don’t have the vision, they don’t know if moves are good or bad until a year or two or more later. I am all talk but I have the history to back it up. Go look at the plethora of the garbage Stan moves and my reactions to them, go look at the good moves and my reaction to them, they are spot on. You can stay in denial but I have been right all along.

Musto is 100% correct. This was widely reported after the draft but Columbus was real high on Lidstrom I believe. Wasnt it our 2nd 1st pick this year and our first first next year to try and trade up and they say no. What do ya do?!?!

I would have taken demidov. but Lev was generally Conesus rated #3. I still think we are 1 elite player away from having a future roster that can compete in 3-4 years. I like 4 forwards in this draft. hagens, misa, frondell, and Morone. So ending up in the top 4-5 is really important for us again. of his 1st 2nd and early 3rds. I think in general some are slighly higher some are lower and some are incomplete. Yes im sure we could nitpick a few guys. KK, Nazar, Rinsel, ludwinski, Greene hayes, bedard moore gajan kantersov, misiak lardis, AL, Sacha vannacker mustard spellacy. is it perfect no but thats a pretty solid haul over 3 years. the only ones I think are clear misses are ludwinski and misiak, how many of those 17 play 100 games in the NHL 12-13 seems reasonable. how many teams in 3 years can have double digit players play 100 games. that does not include savoie thomspson, james marcel, pridham henry. which a few of those guys might have a shot. could it be 15 in 3 drafts. And we still have the 2nd most draft capital of any team moving forward the next 3 years. TT and Martinez maroon smith look to be good signings. brodie and bertuzzi not so much. Dickenson, Mzarek, foligno were over pays but we got the term we wanted. im not sure what more KD could do. I give him a 85% at this point. Have a plan (which he does) and stick to it (which he has) He wants D with size and skating and he wants FR with speed and compete (generally means better in the D zone). that seems like a solid recipe. who was the last team to have a full strip down rebuild that turned it around quicker then 4-5 years. (hawks are probalby the fastest in history winning a cup in year 5) we are starting year 3.

If you dont agree with something I said that is fine. they are just my opinions. and message boards are places to discuss. not clue what ok fiddy means. Yes in general I thought we needed a full tear down, KD did that. we were bad without the the tear down. Yes I do think in a tear down you need to have a plan and stick to it. which KD has. is there a guarantee that it will work out like 2006/7 NO. But it has a better chance then the 3 retools we did over 6 years starting in 2016.
