You joke, but there was almost an entire shift he spent in the offensive zone's left circle. It was one of the first shifts I saw of his, so I was a little concerned seeing that, but he's been a lot better about getting back since then.

Not sure how much you know about Lev (i haven’t watched a ton of him either but read a bunch on him) but this is his style. A bit of a rover type player. Thats why he got so many point in ncaa

To be fair to management, they weren't the only team that passed on him.

I'd rather we went with him than Lev, but Lev was still 3rd on my list. Columbus picked a guy with a broken back instead of Demidov, and Anaheim picked a kid nobody (rightfully) expected at 3rd.

Okay but Lev is a great prospect as well. I wanted Demidov too but lets not act like he's for sure going be be a better player than Lev.

Who said you had to? Although it might be fitting at this point if you did have that comparison. I didn't like like the pick either but will accept it because there's lots of potential still there, even more left in the table with demidov.

I think a rover type like Lev can work really well in today’s NHL. A bunch of teams will have a hard time covering that off.

What you need to make it work however is a solid over defensive system, which the Hawks almost certainly do not have currently.

If only we had a rock solid top 5 Defensive LHD who is young and covers like 2/3 of the rink with 6'6 frame and plus skating.

Man what a perfect player to play with a wild card like Levshunov. Well, maybe someday we'll find that guy.

Richardson is a dead man walking. It's more likely that Cooper or Brindamour coach Levy than Richardson.

Sorry, almost 20 years of hearing from him spout stuff got to me. A lot of franchises would love to have Lev, I'm glad we do as long as we develope him properly

WILL develop their defencemen…

Vlasic signed and finished season in NHL, then assigned to AHL the next year, reaping the rewards of that

Kaiser signed and finished season in NHL, the next season he started and stumbled so was assigned to AHL, reaping the rewards of that

Korchinski played ALOT OF HOCKEY, lost his dad, played with the Hawks all season as he’s a CHLer, up and down season, he’s now developing in AHL

Phillips and Crevier are the fillers, not expected to become permanent NHLers, tweeners, both were resigned to one year deals and must clear waivers

Allan played the whole first year of his professional career, a late first rounder, he has probably jumped over Del Mastro, who got a few games last year, both are going to future NHLers, with that Hawks or elsewhere…eventually someone will have to moved, it happened in the past with our glut of prospect dmen(Keith, Seabrook, Hjalmarsson, Byfulien, Wisniewski, Barker) to get this teams needs in other areas…

Levshunov will be fine, patience

Rinzel will be next, he’ll sign at seasons end and audition like Vlasic and Kaiser did

Early season results for Rinzel are something else! If he can fill out that big body, the way he can skate and shoot, pencil him in. Already 2nd leading scoring D-man behind a guy that is 3 years older.

The thread is still for everyone to see, most here were ecstatic for that trade, look at Panarin now, 120 points last year. Look at Davidson now, making dumb mistakes and everyone is still on the “he didn’t have enough time” train, but he’s garbage like his teacher, it’s not hard to see.
