i don't agree with bad food but i do think it is a bit overhyped. this poll is relative to cities/states like LA/Cali, NY/tri-state, MTL, TOR, VAN, NSH, Florida etc. the food here is solid, but compared to some of those cities i don't think it is anything out of the ordinary or noteworthy. It's that time of year friends. Athletic player survey, no one will ever take our trophy.

Three quotes about us, the bad food is kind of suprising:
“There’s not much to do out there,” one player said. “It’s f—ing cold. I haven’t heard a guy go to Winnipeg and be like, 'This is going to be my forever home.’”
"Nothing to do, bad food, freezing,” another said.
Here’s one Jets player’s defense of his city, noting that the drive from the airport to downtown isn’t exactly the scenic route: “I remember when I first did it, it was underwhelming. There are parts of the city that are great, but you don't see that (as a visiting player). I always wish that they'd stay down at the Forks or somewhere like that. I don't think that hotel meets the criteria for the league, but it would be better than staying downtown."
samberg has really elevated that pairing. his play this year has been v good. wanted to see him a bit consistently & performing well in a top-4 role, and he's done just that + more.Looks Like Pionk is the best one of that bunch, still.
Hopefully he can stick. Him and Samberg have chemistry together.
Agree with you in regards to using team stats on a player without context. If you're a player driving the bus it can be useful, but means very little when you're sitting at the back. If that wasn't the case, Charlie Huddy would be talked about in hushed tones for how amazing he was.Ryan Lindgren sucks. Ask any Ranger fan. Terrible in his own end, terrible on the PK, generates minimal offense, makes $4.5M this season. Why would we want him? What do you see in him?
Career playoff GP means nothing to me. By that logic we should go after Pat Maroon with 163 GP and three cups then?
Yeah, that bunch doesn't scream $10M AAV. Big deal. That doesn't preclude Chevy trying to trade for a big-dollar top-2 D, or a good 2C, or preferring any number of moves before giving Ehlers $8M. Maybe he simply doesn't want to give him Scheifele and Helly dollars. All kinds of reasons Chevy might have for not signing Ehlers to a mega contract, and that doesn't even get around to the reasons Ehlers could have for wanting to go elsewhere.
I figure Ehlers is somewhere around 60% gone, 40% returning. Maybe 65-35.
way you back-pedal you should be starting DB for the Bombers.Your post in the Ehlers thread.
My guess is GMs will be falling over themselves come FA time to sign defensement to $10M contracts. By the way, I never said Ehlers will be getting $10M. Have you been taking citing lessons from gojetsgo?
I could of sworn we used to be on like 67% of no trade lists! It's that time of year friends. Athletic player survey, no one will ever take our trophy.
