yeah, but, by then it’s too late to get a better option. Would rather bring in a guy who has been playing all season.
I'm down to trade him for Risto or someone similar if they'd be interested in him as a centerpiece.

Once Samberg is signed Heinola's not gonna be a top 4 player for us until Jmo retires, I'd rather use him to get a big upgrade for the bottom pair

Whether you're joking or not, something in that realm makes more sense to me.

I had nothing against Stumbledore, I just saw someone (Inanna) who I thought was potentially taking advantage of (lonely) men who're frequently on the internet. That's certainly a problem these days.

I said it before, but I only thought there was a >1% chance that they were the same person. There are reasons to think that they're the same person, but I'm not 100% there with that.
I'm not sure what the back story is here, but it's hilarious to think how many posters upvoted everything she (?) said simply because she (?) has a vag (?). 😆🤣

We are discussing the scenario where we brought that guy in to play 3RD. A guy who satisfies the need for size and physicality that is the only excuse to continue playing Stanley.

That doesn't mean we must play Heinola but it means we can play him to get more mobility and skill at 3LD.

Fleury is another possibility at 3LD under those circumstances. He is also big but doesn't play a physical game. He is quite mobile though.

The other choice was a 3LD with those attributes that Stanley has but without his lack of mobility. The benefit is diluted if Stan then plays the right side. The objective is to improve the 3rd pair, not to continue with its weakness ... lack of mobility.

I'm looking at 2.5 years. Better sample size.

and points per 60

they're all around 1.75
In a post about the second line's play this year, where they have 17GF combined, how do Perfetti's stats from 1-1.5 years get tallied into it. Do you add his goals from last year to this year's totals? Very odd.

Read the AVS gdt’s . The majority want him gone. So many wish they didn’t trade Byram for him. He’s weak and routinely gets outmuscled on plays he shouldn’t.

ZERO interest on my part. Never was a fan of his to begin with.

Yeah if they are moving on from him after one year then zero interest.

Lot of these 2C options are whole lotta meh. Nelson is a pure rental I think. Ryan Strome is a bit more appealing but don't think Anaheim trades unless there's a real good offer with a year left.Idk, none really move the needle for me. With the season Monahan was having, kind of wished we re-signed him lol.

Even the wingers, looks like it's Boeser, Palmieri and a whole lotta meh. If the Jets go this route, Boeser may be a player they look to re-sign given their previous interest in him, Palmieri probably a cheaper rental. If the Bruins sell, maybe Marchand? :dunno:

Re-signing Boeser probably depends on Ehlers' intentions, and/or how the org sees Perfetti

At that point you'd potentially have 5 wingers for your top 6, and still no 2C outside of Lowry/Lambert

Maybe they see Cole more as a 3rd line guy moving forward, or maybe they deal him for some help at RHD or 2C?

I just don't see why we'd be bringing in Boeser. He's a one dimensional player that will cost decent coin at a time where we also have to sign Vilardi and possibly Ehlers, plus in another year KC. To me it makes little sense to tie up that much of your cap in wingers.

That's my thought as well. I'd rather extend Ehlers than Boeser as I don't think Boeser (who already wasn't a speedster) has been the same since his back injury into the open gate, and he's also dealt with concussions (another this year I think). I'd rather re-sign all of our wingers honestly (Ehlers, Vilardi, Connor) so I agree it seems like way too much tied up in wingers.

I'd rather extend Ehlers over Boeser as well.
I think they do need more offensive juice on that 2nd line though. I don't see it at center with the names rumored to be available outside of Nelson. What do you think of Palmieri? I think he'd be a lower cost rental.
If UTA is still out by the deadline maybe we could pry away Schmaltz as a 2C option? 1 year left on his contract after this one and has a M-NTC (assuming he would have to waive)
Seattle you mean. Not sure if Schwartz plays much C tbh. There's a couple other players I like from Seattle such as McCann and Bjorkstrand.

Totally agree on both paragraphs. Nelson seems like the best C left. Historically he's better than Names, but I guess if you're the Jets brass you have to determine if right now he's enough of an upgrade to justify the cost to acquire. Palms seems like he could be a reasonable cost add though. I haven't watched them a ton lately, so my only question would be how his skating is looking. Definitely a nice scoring add to the top 9 though. Looking at deadline cap space, the Jets seem to have the most when compared to the other contenders. So I'm wondering how the prices might be affected if a lot of teams don't have room.

Totally with you on Seattle. I'd love to add McCann (would he be available though?). Also, is he playing predominantly on the wing or centre? Bjork as well would be a nice add for some scoring (and maybe get Ehlers to re-sign, lol). I'd just be worried more about Bjork's second year and affecting space for our other guys signing. Moreso than McCann (especially if he can play C). If we didn't have some nice bottom 6 depth I'd love to bring back our little bowling ball of hate Tanev, but not sure if that's a need lol.

I think @SLAYER is meaning Nick Schmaltz from UTA. I also don't think he's played centre for them either. Although he would produce nice offense from the wing.

Don't need his speed ... the Jets have enough speedster.
Jet need muscle to protect the crease and take care of azzes in case they have to play the Wild.

Looks like the Jets are doing a pretty good job of keeping bad things from happening in the crease. Not sure we need to double-down on lumbering 3rd pairing defensemen when we already have 3 or so.

Mittelstadt did well when traded to the Avs.
He had 10 points in the last 18 games of the season and then scored 9 points in 11 playoff games.
Then he signed a new contract and sort of fell off of a cliff.
