Jets might be 1st in the Central by points ( today ), but after the Col move and if Dallas gets Rantanen, then the Jets are 3rd in talent. If we didn't have the points on both of them, they would probably both pass us.

The only positive about Mikko in Dallas is that it might light a fire under Chevy's ass to get something done. 2 and a half hours to go

People are saying chevy wont do anything after his tv appearance where he said he's got a lot of faith in this team as is. But that kinda goes against the rumours he was looking at nelson and a 2 defencemen. So why would he just give up after nelson gets grabbed? He should 100% still be looking to fill the gaps we have at D.

I hope he does something
I'd guess Chevy is grinding hard as we speak and we will soon see if anything comes of it. Better to strike out then to make a bad trade by overpaying for a rental that won't make a difference.

Last year Chevy did too much apparently, this season he is going to get shit for not doing enough.

God damn Stars get Rantanen.

I'm not a huge proponent of deadline deals but what a horrible deadline for the Jets just in terms of the teams around them. Not blaming Chevy at all, but Rantanen to Dallas and Nelson to COL just sucks.

Really need to finish 1st in the division,

stan was actually the 2nd guy moved into the top 4, it was fleury that was put with pionk during sambergs injury
There was an overlap where Stanley was still injured when Samberg went down, so Fleury got the job. Then they eased Stanley back in on the 3rd pair for a few weeks after his injury, and Fleury-Pionk didn't work out very well, so Stanley moved up just after the Christmas break.
