Knowing how Cagnoni has performed on every level he has gotten, there is hope he can figure it out if given enough opportunity. NHL is obviously the hardest level of them all, but I believe he has that edge in him that could make him stay. I would love to see him get an opportunity to play some PP with Celebrini, Eklund and Smith.

I'm super excited to see Cagnoni and I hope they pencil him into the top power play unit. They're 22nd overall currently and any push to make that better can give the team real hope to be more competitive next season with a Cagnoni that shows he can at least hang in the NHL at evens but can produce on the PP.

I was hoping the plan was to use the extended break this week to call up Cagnoni because it was feeling kind of absurd having both Vlasic and Schuldt, two guys with no future with the team (not to mention Desharnais, who I hope won't be more than the #7 guy next year), playing instead of him (and to a lesser extent Thompson) with the Sharks.

Now, okay, let's get Luca some practice time and get him minutes on the power play to see how he does there at this level.
