It will be interesting if they send down Muk and Graf to be AHL playoff eligible. They also probably need to send Romanov down as well. They will have difficulty keeping the min 20 on the roster if they trade away too many. I expect they will take back a few NHL contracts if they move more of their UFAs.
May have to recall Askarov and send down Romanov (on paper) then recall Romanov for game as they have to have at least 2 goalies on NHL roster.

Maybe we'll be taking on someone else's bad goalie.
Colin Graf is now listed as assigned to the Barracuda as well, for likely the same reason. Was wondering about him.
Edit: And now Shakir Mukhamadullin, as well.

Okay, continuing with this whole deadline situation (Never really been a fan of this convoluted rule):
We've already called Graf and Mukhamadullin back up, but haven't done the same with Schuldt and Thompson. So, I assume someone comes up tomorrow, or Thrun/Rutta come off IR, because the Sharks only have 5 healthy defensemen otherwise.
How quickly we forget about the great Vincent Desharnais
The five defensemen are Ferraro, Vlasic, Mukhamadullin, Liljegren, Desharnais.
It's not a concern at all, I'm just saying one or two defensemen will still need to be activated before tomorrow vs. NYI.

Right now, no. They sent Mukhamadullin, Graf, Schuldt, Thompson down to the AHL in order to be eligible for the playoffs, and then immediately recalled Mukhamadullin and Graf.
I do imagine that Schuldt and Thompson come back up too, the Barracuda are already in Abbotsford about to play the Canucks tonight. They just haven't done it yet.

Romanov cannot. Everyone else who has played for the Barracuda this year can. Also guys like Musty, Lund and Halttunen can come back from their leagues if they're done and play.
Grier was trying to bring in an NHL contract to move Romanov down yesterday but it wasn’t worth the price when ideally he is just backing up Askarov anyway.

Teams are limited to FOUR recalls from AHL after TDL (unless emergency recall, i.e., short of 6 D or 12 F or 2G).
