GDT: 2024-25 season game 66 LA Kings vs Minnesota Wild @5:00pm 3/17/25

Do you know how much of it is because they are at home playing some of the better teams when they have back to backs? Seems like they have gotten more teams on back to backs this year but I cant say for sure.
Nope, I'm not really sure.

With stuff like that, I feel like it all usually kind of evens out in the end.

I imagine every team around the league benefits from those kinds of scenarios at times. I remember just a couple weeks ago the Kings played Dallas in Dallas on a Friday night then had to play St Louis in St Louis on Saturday night - and that's a b2b scenario that requires plane travel in between games. At least when teams play Anaheim and LA they don't really need to travel in between games.

I'm sure there's been times the Kings have benefitted from teams playing Anaheim the night before but there's also been times when a team like Dallas or St Louis is catching a team on the tail end of a back to back where the team had to take a flight the day of or night before. Ultimately by the time all the dust settles, everyone gets screwed over by the schedule sometimes and benefits from it at others.

I think someone on here told me Kings switch off with Anaheim yearly. So next year they will get more teams on back to backs after they play the Kings.

You just know Luc drives in the far left lane going 65 mph and completely ignoring the cars that are behind him.

Real talk pimps, on that note, if you drive in the carpool lane the same speed as the lane to your right… Get out of the carpool lane and stop blocking traffic.

Ya you can only get away with trying to be perfect on defense to insure your paltry offense for so long.

Little penalties like Moore's are gonna happen.

Against whoever we face in the playoffs as well.

Which is why the bottom line is the Kings need to find more offense.

The D pairs seem pretty set , you are not going to try to goose offense there.

I really wouldn't break the lines up yet, maybe just a few more bounces and net instead of posts.

I think the pairs are established , Fiala and Byfield , Kopi and Kempe, Danault and Moore.

Other than L4 and Foegle, staying put, I might swap Kuzmenko and Laferriere, if the drought persists.

Maybe just a couple pieces need to be moved as the puzzle was looking near complete at times recently.

Obeying the law is a bad thing? Weird…

He's 5th overall in TOI/GP in t h e entire league. Most players will have some dips in performance and fatigue will be an issue.

Doughty missed most of the season. Makar is a freak of nature. Werenski is having a career year. Sergachev is playing in all special teams, including an additional minute on the powerplay and penalty kill per game.

Minnesota should manage his minutes better, much like how the Kings consistently overplayed Kopitar and Doughty.
Doughty’s ability in his prime to sustain the minutes he played (at that level) was ludicrous and something Kings fans under appreciated and the rest of the league didn’t appreciate at all.

If you are one of those who thinks driving the carpool lane gives you a free pass to go 85, you are a total DB and should have your license revoked.

Thanks Grandpa -- next time you visit, can you tell us the story about your adventures during the Great Depression and WW2 again?

Don't hate. I drive like an old man now. But I also stay in the slow lane for you whippersnappers to pass me.
Driving slow or the speed limit is perfectly fine and should be the norm. But doing so in the fast lane when the flow of traffic in said fast lane is 10+ MPH faster is a problem -- causing anger, unnecessary lane changes, etc. It's especially a problem when it's done on purpose. It only takes one idiot to get super angry to the slower driver and all h3ll breaks loose.

The fast lane is not the carpool lane.

dude you are the problem (surprise). If you are using the carpool lane and going much slower than the non-carpool lanes, then you should NOT be in the carpool lane.
It's sounding more and more (along with your friends) that you have no f***ing clue what the carpool lane is designed for.

When lanes 1-3 are sitting in bumper to bumper traffic, and the carpool lane is wide open, you still criticizing me for going 70?

I only wrote two sentences -- and only one pertained to the topic. How can you misunderstand it? Is your reading comprehension seriously that bad?!?! I literally said:
"If you are using the carpool lane and going much slower than the non-carpool lanes, then you should NOT be in the carpool lane." WTH!?!?

(And yes, i'm fully aware that i'm the idiot -- because i'm the one who is actually trying to have a conversation with someone like you.)

Which is noteworthy to this discussion considering Doughty was considered out of shape when he entered the league.

But sure let's just go with "Faber can't handle big minutes over a full season" (not pointing that finger at you) since it probably makes us feel better about giving him up.

I used to enjoy just putting it in 2nd gear in rush hour & cruising at about 10-15 mph. Lane speeds up? Just keep same speed. That way when it slows down you don't have to stop even with the cars racing around you just to slam their breaks on. So much anger. 😂
