The funny thing about this is if they kept Kempe and Doughty but traded the rest of those guys theyd probably be in the same spot next year as they are now just with 4 extra first round picks and capspace to bring in a great player or two.-Danault- still gets a 1st at deadline
-Fiala-1st and good prospect
-Gavrikov-easily gets a first and he 100% waves to go to a playoff team.
-Kempe gets a haul at the draft 1st 2nd and possibly a good prospect
-Drew gets a 1st if you eat 4 million of his contract (he gets pissy when guys gets moved and asks for a trade.)
-Moore gets you a first
That’s a hell of a chunk to rebuild with!
Problem is the need a 1C and you typically draft them in the lotto picsThe funny thing about this is if they kept Kempe and Doughty but traded the rest of those guys theyd probably be in the same spot next year as they are now just with 4 extra first round picks and capspace to bring in a great player or two.
What’s funny is thinking Kempe will continue to thrive without Kopitar, much like Brownie you would see significant regression in his play. The funny thing about this is if they kept Kempe and Doughty but traded the rest of those guys theyd probably be in the same spot next year as they are now just with 4 extra first round picks and capspace to bring in a great player or two.
Alex Turcotte > Quinton ByfieldQ had a pretty f***in rough game.
A healthy Alex Turcotte is the straw that stirs the drink on any line he plays on.Alex Turcotte > Quinton Byfield
And contract wise, 100% truth.
I didn't see this but would have been par for the course all night
Malkin selling a trip fresh off high sticking the puck twice told everyone what the script was
so did Spence. He looked like he did to start the year. Seriously, two open shots in the slot and he shoots it 3 feet over the goalie!Q had a pretty f***in rough game.
Uh… what game breaking ability have you seen that Turcotte won’t possess?A healthy Alex Turcotte is the straw that stirs the drink on any line he plays on.
He won’t ever have the game breaking ability of Q, but he certainly has a game that simply makes everyone else better around him. I hope he sticks with Kopi and Juice for a while, because he is that Justin Williams lite that those two will greatly benefit from.

What’s the new tank phrase for the year. Last year wasn’t it taking wienie for cellibrinni?
I love Turcotte on the top line with Kopitar and Kempe but I really think Turcotte is the guy that can bring Kaliyev back to the scoring threat he was supposed to be.A healthy Alex Turcotte is the straw that stirs the drink on any line he plays on.

He also made a point of criticising himself for not playing Turcotte more.Hiller had Turc on the 4th line before Moore got hurt.. I hope he's seen enough to keep hiim top 6
I like that Hiller has the confidence and self awareness to recognise his mistakes. He adjusts, evolves and adapts. I think he’s a better coach today than at the start of the season and a better coach than he was last year. It feels like it’s his team now. This game is still a win if it finally convinced Hiller to leave Turcotte on the 1st line.
The other 15 guys forgot they had to play tonight, I guess.
PLD never showed shit. With all due respect, GTFO with that nonsense.Byfield's production slumps at times reflect what happened to PLD. The examples of both have similarities. PLD showed flashes, but wasn't consistent offensively, and the same thing is happening to Byfield.
Let down game tonight and one that lack of scoring from some players, came back bite them in butt! Wasn't able to watch the game, but saw 1-0 and 2-1 leads. Kings are not getting those insurance goals to put the game away(take away all the empty net goals). Pens are awful defensively and not much better goaltending wise, but they have enough offense to come from behind in games.
Byfield continues to be a ghost. At the rate he's going, he won't match his 55 points from last season. He seems to have digressed. The type of coach Hiller is, when certain players are in big scoring slumps, he is not the type of coach with the rest of this coaching staff to tap into players going again offensively. I strongly believe Byfield can be a 1C, but not with this coach and system. I'm going to say it anyways(I know it will stir up quite a bit of ppl here), Byfield's production slumps at times reflect what happened to PLD. The examples of both have similarities. The two teams the Kings are strongly competing with, Vegas/Oilers, are good offensive teams. Playing defense first, good goaltending with some marginal goal scoring where the team sits on leads, is not enough to even win a 1st round considering this team is not good enough to win the Pacific Division(I see them ending in 3rd place if there is some good fortune ahead, as the Oilers will pass them).
He didnt say anything about trading KopitarWhat’s funny is thinking Kempe will continue to thrive without Kopitar, much like Brownie you would see significant regression in his play.
Those are tough ones I’m gonna need a long think on the dumper to come up with one.diarrhea for Misa? failed operations for Hagens?

There were always a few people of other teams who called him slow.Turcotte looked like Trevor Moore there breaking in with speed. He’s looked great playing LW on the top line.
