Fiala also is tied with Laffy for the most goals on the team with 4 . When you can barely put the puck in the net sure lets bench our leading goal scorer
That means very, very little when you give more away than you offer.

He is in business for himself, incapable of playing a team game, incapable of playing with other talented players apart from the PP. He hurts you so much more than helps with constant poor decision making.

f*** Fiala what a dumb piece of shit seriously

Hiller having to say “yeah we talked about it water under the bridge” to this says a whole lot about Kevin.

It’s one thing when your actions on the ice are liabilities putting the team in bad situations, it’s another when you carry it off the ice too.

At least we didn’t trade a high character young future captain for a f***ing malcontent enigma.

By far the best player they have drafted too, that is the real kick in the balls. The drafting of true difference makers has been non-existent, and the one they do hit on is moved before ever playing a game for the organization.
Nobody must have loved PLD more than Fiala. With PLD soaking up all the negative press, no one was talking about what a godawful trade the Fiala trade was in its own right.
I think the comments that Doughty made to the media were pretty damning, but were largely forgotten due to the PLD disaster and the fact that the Kings don't get much coverage.

An iconic, Mount Rushmore player, one of the best in the history of the franchise, a 2 time cup winner, Norris winner and team captain went to the media and said Fiala only cares about his stats. That tells you all you need to know about Fiala.

Yup. I am always the one defending the offensive players against you, and I always say "Their strengths are helping more than their weaknesses hurt"

This season I can't argue with you, his weaknesses have obviously been a net negative for the Kings on the ice, and now we have even more confirmation that he is a selfish prick in the room.

What a complete disaster of a trade.

I’m a “it is what it is” kind of person but that trade is still a kick in the balls lol considering the current circumstances at D.

I'm thinking Will Smith should have stayed in College another season he's not strong enough or good enough at this point...hope he turns it around
I am beginning to agree

I thought he was ready after seeing him at the Frozen Four, he really had a dominant freshman season, but I think you are right, he could have used another year getting bigger and stronger, while also gaining more offensive confidence.

When it comes to college players, you can never hurt their development by keeping them in school an extra year, but you can hurt it by pulling them a year early. Even when it's 60/40 you think they should leave as a freshman, probably better to play the sophomore year, the evidence of players becoming better with the 2nd year is overwhelming.
