Gulls lead 1-0 early, colangelo and sidorov have assists, carpenter the goal.
Bakersfield scores four goals on 10 shots in the next six minutes and San Diego is down three.

Goaltending is awful.

Clang gets the rope halfway through the first.

Ryan Carpenter’s player photo progression is a study in the creeping realization of career mediocrity.

Looks like they ended up losing in the SO, but they were down 6-2 at one point. Crazy comeback.

The did a similar thing on Nov 3. They were down 4-1 early in the third to Abbotsford. Then proceeded to scored 5 goals in the last 10 minutes of the game to win the game 6-4. Dunno why they start waking up in the third period to start scoring, but still impressive to get it to the shootout.

I was at the Nov 3 Game.

Still don't know what to think about Pastujov. Close to 0.5PPG last year in his first the A, but got himself sent down to Tulsa, but then is one of the league leaders in points to get called back up?

Is he even on track? What's real any more!?

He did well in Tulsa but I think the biggest reason he was called up is Colangelo being gone. He has a lot of showing to do before you could call him back on track.

The Gulls have allowed nearly 4 goals a night, tied for last in total concessions with 58. Just to put that in perspective, other than Bridgeport, every other team who has scored at least 46 goals (the Gulls are right at that number, tied for 12th in the AHL) are .500 or better; San Diego is 4-10. They really miss Suchanek

Gaucher looked good in camp. Seems like he is locked into the 4C role with the Gulls, playing physical every night. That role seems to be his NHL future.
I am not at all convinced that his skating and puck handling will ever be NHL caliber...even for the 4th line. Hope I’m wrong.
