In the Rangers GDT:
"Couts line was bad, so was Seeler-Drysdale. Frost line was meh.
Cates line had another good game. York-Sanheim were fine"
xGF and HDCF chances from the lines last night (Cates line - top, Couts line - middle , Frost's line - bottom)

Frost's line had the highest raw xGF%, SCF% and HDCF%
By your own definition, the Frost line was the best line for the possession battle and control. How were they meh, but Cates line had another good game?
They didn't jump out at me like they had the last two games.
Torts put the Frost line together 7 games ago:
Anaheim: Cates (Strome 5:06, McTavish 3:07), Frost (McTavish 3:37, Carlsson 3:18), Couts (McTavish 4:36, Strome 3:13)
Florida: Cates (Barkov 4:37, Bennett 3:34), Frost (Lundell 5:22, Bennett 4:15), Couts (Barkov 3:28, Lundell 2:31)
@CBJ: Cates (Belluz 5:37, Fantilli 4:38), Frost (Sillinger (10:13, Fantilli 2:13), Couts (Belluz 4:34, Fantilli 2:30)
@NYI: Cates (Pageau 4:04, Horvat/Nelson 2:55), Frost (Horvat 4:43, Nelson 3:49), Couts (Pageau 4:24, Horvat 4:04)
@NJ: Cates (Hughes 8:10, Nico 2:22), Frost (Nico 5:16, Hughes 4:40), Couts (Nico 4:22, Mercer 4:15)
Det: Cates (Larkin 9:34, Compher 2:43), Frost (Copp 8:55, Compher 4:52), Couts (Compher 5:58, Rasmussen 4:16)
@NYR: Cates (Trocheck 7:07, Carrick 3:57), Frost (Zibanejad 5:22, Trocheck 5:19), Couts (Chytil 4:12, Zibanejad 4:07)
Opposing HC chooses matchups on the road.
Trots tries to give Frost easier matchups at home, on the road, HCs try to keep scoring lines away from Cates.
7 games:
Foerster - Cates - Brink: 66 min xGF 49.21%, HDCF 56.66%
Tippett - Frost - TK: 72 min xGF 59.97%, HDCF 61.90%
Farabee/Lycksell - Couts - Michkov: 60 min xGF 67.00%, HDCF 80.02%
It'll be an interest stretch run and off-season.
I figure Laughton won't be back next year.
Will they extend Cates and/or Frost?
Will Jett break camp with them? What happens with Farabee if they go Couts - Jett - Michkov?
Our Current front office tried everything they could to give Sanheim away, I don't think Chuckles ever did one move worse than that would of been.
At the time, I think the majority of this board preferred trading Sanheim for a 1st rather than give him an 8 year deal, same with TK.
