More evidence that Olivier concussed Andrae last week. Perhaps Fantilli needs to have his bell rung as a pay back.
The Flyers can't continue to allow goons on other teams to rag doll their smaller players. Next it will be MM. It has to stop. Tit for tat. Retaliate against the opposition's better players not the end of the bench knuckle draggers such as Olivier.
How is that evidence at all?

When Olivier hit him, I thought that the spotter would have tapped him for a concussion check. This could be a Tortorella decision but Andrae has missed the last two games since he was hit. He was playing well so there's no other sensible reason for him to miss any time.

John Tortorella is the coach. He said himself that he didn't believe that he was playing well.

It's as simple as that.

He singled out Frost b/c Frost has been centering Tippett and Michkov the last 10 games.
9 goals for the line, Frost has 2 goals, 1 primary assist. Michkov has been driving that line.
I think Torts wants Frost to drive that line more.

Couts line has 4 goals, Cates 3, Poehling 3.

In the past 10 games, Morgan Frost (at 5v5) has both the best xGF/60 and xGA/60. I know there's more that goes into it than this, but Frost has been pretty good over the last 10 games. He's one of the reasons why Tippett and Michkov have been able to play in the offensive zone more.

This is what I'm talking about when I say Torts doesn't value Frost's game. When asked a question about a different player, he took a direct shot at Frost. When asked a question directly about Frost last season, he answered it by talking positively about another player (Cates). He called Frost a toilet seat. He clearly does not like Frost's style of play.

Edit -- In this post I quoted, allude in this post Frost isn't playing well, but at 9:30 this morning you said he's having an excellent stretch. What are we even doing here?

Don’t look now but Andrae continues to ride the pine.

It’s almost like that thing that people said about him only getting a chance was because of injuries.

You pretty obviously trade Seeler in this scenario. This isn't hard. This is why he obviously should have been traded last season.

Oh, and there is clearly nothing Frost can do at this point. The coach is irrational, stubborn, and a terrible evaluator.

I'm OK with keeping Seeler (though he should be on the EJ contract, not his own), but hear me out:

York-Sanheim
Zamula-Andrae
Grans-Drysdale
Seeler

Risto and Johnson to elsewhere for assets. Acknowledge that there will be growing pains from having so many young defenders, but give them the opportunity and responsibility to grow into the roles.

This being the probable best arrangement since his extension and performance and career in general all combine to make Seeler a hard move now.

When you base your posts on defending everything this team does, your replies look as scattered as the team you're defending.

Tortorella doesn’t have it in him to fully compliment any player. Even when he tries to praise someone, there’s always a dig at the end of it. It’s a personality flaw and one of the reasons that when TB had their Cup reunion he wasn’t invited.

Watching that line, Tippett is the one who drives the line in terms of offensive zone entries, Michkov is the playmaker, Frost at times looks like a third wheel, at times plays aggressively, attacking the net. He is the defensive conscious for that line.

When I watch other "finesse" centers, Frost just isn't as talented either handling the puck or as a playmaker. It's not that he's bad, he's just a cut below them (not McDavid or McKinnon, everyone is a cut below, but the next tier, the 1C/2C types). His speed doesn't translate to the ice as well as it should. He fumbles a lot of pucks. As close to Poehling as to Robert Thomas or Aho.

Centers the last ten games since the lines were put together:
Frost xGF 69.90%, HDCF 66.46%
Cates xGF 66.15%, HDCF 67.97%
Poehling xGF 54.92%, HDCF 57.40%
Couts xGF 49.95%, HDCF 50.65%

Briere has some tough decisions, I think Couts' days as a center are numbered.
Do you just plug Jett in next year, keep Frost, or trade for center(s)?
Even if you draft a couple more, they're 2-3 years away.

I can’t believe we are watching the same person.

You're watching the wrong line or wrong players. Frost is 48, Michkov is 39, and Tippett 74.

That's the only way you've arrived at these conclusions honestly. Otherwise, if you do know who you are watching, you are deliberately convincing yourself of falsehoods to benefit management and coaching.

I am extremely optimistic and positive so I know that the former is the problem

Yes, I've watched him, Frost has a lot of "almost" plays. One reason is he's just a notch below the top 2nd tier centers.

Who would you use as comparables for negotiating a long-term deal?
Would FLA trade Lundell straight up, or NJ Mercer? Geekie?

So annoying read people post dumb stuff.

Frost was drafted the same draft as Patrick. Who was supposed to slowly take over for coots as 1c. And frost was supposed to to be a skilled 3c who could grow into a 2c role as he matured in the league as coots slowed down. Frost is already better than his original expectations but he needs smart players with him. Complaining about center points in a torts system screams you don’t know what you are talking about.

We have one, maybe two (depending on the aging curve of Couts) parts of the center question solved, if one they would wake up and accept that. Frost is currently a rare (for the Flyers) case of a player actually living up to draft hopes, and their response is to hate him for it. It's wild.
