This was always coming, writing was on the wall. Not getting the captaincy, the media finally calling him out, the team not looking any worse with him out, and the massive cap rise making his hit not impossible to move.

It seems both sides have finally come to the conclusion that his time in Chicago is over. I think the last obstacle is making a trade with minimal retention, 5 years is a bit much.

37 career playoff games, big minutes but he's played many of them the easy way throughout his career. No career threatening injuries. If he plays like he has been since the boo fest he likely still has a few good years left.

I am thinking one of Murphy/Jones/Martinez is on their way out. Literally no reason to bring up EDM and Allen on roster and have them sitting

But they're also just practicing today/tomorrow. They called Levshunov up to practice.

Denisenko is pending Group 6 UFA and may just go back to the KHL.
