Donato on his own probably only gets a 2nd, but I’d absolutely package him with Murphy or Mrazek to get a 1st.

Colorado, Edmonton, and Toronto seem like obvious choices already. Maybe LA too.

Wow! Imagine if the Blackhawks actually found their next great goalie in Soderblom? I would be the first to say “never saw that coming”…but what if?

Mrazek and Brossoit was suppose to be the combo this year…

Crazy?

LOL

A good game and suddenly Soda is "The one"

Jeff Glass had a few good games once

Also, Soda still gives up a shit ton of rebound chances, better team than Ducks would have buried those chances last night

I think the Hawks have to assign Phillips back to the AHL tomorrow if they don't want to have to subject him to Waivers again [based on the 30-day window to assign a player once they clear waivers] if they later decide to send him back down.

Not sure if the plan is to keep him up through Wednesday. Probably earned another game, but also not sure when exactly Martinez is back. Allan and Kaiser are both Waiver-Exempt if they're so inclined as well.

I'm not sure if Soderblom is still Waiver-Exempt (CapWages did an OK enough job copying CapFriendly but CapFriendly's Waiver-Exempt Calculator was a nice tool) for when Brossoit comes back.

I see Nucks fans on the main board not happy with EP. If they ever traded him I think the Hawks would be one of the teams in on that. They said he’s got wrist issues. If we were to ever take a large swing..

Could totally see a Reichel/Kurashev, Korchinski and Leafs first package

He looked awful in the playoffs this year and he's already under-performing since he got his huge contract. I'm not even sure I'd trade him for Seth Jones.

Tochett is a brutal coach. A lot of his players in Zona never produced much with him. It would be worth the shot

Doubt they move him tho

100% you do
$11.6m for a guy pacing for sub-40 points, who disappeared in the playoffs, and has played like ass in general since the second half of last season. Jones at least gives a shit, he's just not worth his cap hit. Hell, Jones will probably outscore EP40 at this rate this season

Phillips down, maybe Crevier up…they fill a similar depth spot
Soderblom can be sent down, waiver exempt, I think that was the plan when Brossoit was as signed, they knew he was going to be able to sent to Rockford…heck the Hawks only have four contracted goalies in the system…they signed AHL goalies to contracts before…Mitchell Weeks will prob get a contract if injuries happen to two goalies…

After 15 games the Hawks have a 5-9-1 record for 11pts…they hit rock bottom 32nd overall and then won 3 of 4(now lost two in a row)…feel they’ve been in every game short of the Vancouver contest…

First 15 games…
2022-23 record of 6-6-3 15pts
2023-24 record of 5-10-0 10pts
*2024-25 record of 5-9-1 11pts

This teams needs to get those losses down to at least an extra time point…their close

The past two seasons they’ve only had two 20+ goal scorers in their rosters
Athanasiou and Raddysh in 2022-23 and Bedard and Dickinson in 2023-24
This year they look to have maybe six…much much better roster
