What about Rantanen? Colorado hasn't extended him yet and they have a very tight cap situation as it us and the Landeskog thing makes it even more complicated. Does he hit the market?
I don’t think he ends up hitting the market but he would be a great pickup obviously if he hits free agency

Suggestion for lines. Bedard and Kurashev clearly have some chemistry so why not put them back on the same line? They clicked on the PP in Milwaukee and both play a fast game.

The plan is that the kids I Rockford will develop along with Levshunov...by next season we can Really start infusing a more ready Group of yutes and Really start the progression back to contention..It willbe bye but time for the likes of Vonnor Barfy ...the vets brought in on1 year deals who won 't be back ,and maybe a trade of more vets on longer than 1 year deals if they do not contribute enough this season.
They Also want the Rockford team to WON a lot this srsdon..great ifthe kid group all win Together..
Hopefully Levshunpv and EdM will pair into a ready insertion 2nd pairing for next season

As to the forward yute infusion..may be a longercdrip because we have a lot of 3rd line candidates coming who have more offense potential than our current 3rd vet line...but questionable real too quite adds to our top six forwards...lacki g a premium scoring wingers,a premium power forward and a capable inoactful 2C who otger tens will have to be afraid of,taking pressure off Bedard driving the other top line.
Not sure we get all 3 needs into top six by next season..maybe 2/3..or it may take 2 more seasons s from now to fill all 3 needs up front via draft and/or trade ..
But I expect the d-corps resolution to be much quicker..all fixed (except for$9.5) by next season.
Tge 2C cannot be a shrimp.. that puts Nazar at best as a winger or a 3C over Moore..I do not think either is a 2C solution.
Boivert will gave to prove he can be..but maybe hus ceiling also never gets to te 2C we nedcthat wins draws...is good defensively,scores and drives a line,and has size to win pucks i physical battles..

Soda has actually been pretty solid this preseason. Brossoit isn't gonna be out long. It won't kill the Hawks having Soda get a game if need be.

Korchinski, Levshunov, Nazar, Slaggert, Savoie, Del Mastro, Hayes, Ludwinski, Dach, Phillips, Commesso; that Icehogs roster looks amazing. A shitton of solid prospects with NHL upside.

Yeah Brossoit will be back in like a week or two. If Soderblom plays one leg of the back to back at Winnipeg or Edmonton (sacrificial lamb) it's not a big deal.

Allan makes the team while Bustchinski, whom alot of people here had above Jones on the depth chart, is in Rockford.
Nazar was only 2C in the NHL on this forum.
Wasn't Allan a Bowman pick? Funny how the best young defenseman on the Hawks are Bowman picks....

Phillips was on a pretty decent development path early on but has stalled out the past couple of years. I'm afraid he is what he is and will bounce from team to team.

5 burning questions for the Hawks after training camp as we head into the Regularcseadon:
1.Where are the goals going to come from?
(i) underwhelming scoring from the "top six" projected forwards especialky the vets brought in up front..

TT ...more set up guyvtgan sniper..
Hall...Quo Vadis ...has not exactly imposed himself as a sxoringvthreat in pre-season..
Micheyev...not a big scorobg threat eitger off pre-season.
Kurashev...well.. with Bedard there is chemistry and Bedard can set hom up for goals especially on odd man advatage situations...
But LR in a pickle..no ther 2C option..So Kurashev starts not on Bedard line as winger.. but as 2C..
But you say Bedard will score goals set up by Tt and Bertuzzi...but that did not show in pre-season...and remember Bedard had onlyc1 goal over last 14 games of last sesdon..Had only 1 goal thus pre-sesson and that wss Not on a Generational shot which is supposed to be his best weapon/skill...but hos shots are getting g blocked or he cannot get thenoff in good shooting lines free of checks ,or his shot has either missed the net or easily now stopped by BHL goalies..so what has happened to Bedard's shot finishing ng efficiency from distance? Seems he only now gets tgevodd goal close in on scrims at the crease.
(ii) Expecting Kurashev to "drive line 2 and get Hall and Mikheyev to put copious shots into the net seems more fantasy than a real possibility.
Nor do I see them seeking hom up for shot scoring chances..
Sure chemistry MAY form in time...but if that time is too long into the season,Hawks could be buried early.
(iii) that d-corps we have is Not set up to scorexa kit of goals from the back-end..
So where are the goals coming from?...I do not think we can rely on 3rd and 4th line to vail out ineffective top 2 lines if they were as putrid as in ope-season.

(i) Breaking up Vladic and Jones puts great pressure on old vet Alec Martinez to bail out Jones as much as Vlasic had to last season..that Jones went from-39 to "just" -15 showed how much Vlasic helped him...Jones was -77 thex2 prior season combined...Vlasic performed a miracle.
Can Martinez do the sMe or better?
(ii) Will Vlasoc havecto bail out T J.Brodie a lit? ORwilk it be even worse than with $9.5?
(iii) Kaiser will eventually be back...but whether Allan to start or Kaiser to cone in and be the pairing with Murphy....can Noone withstand the pylon that is Connor Barfy now?Sure he blocks shots...but thevlack of agility and slowness is so evident.. goibg to becastxhing a kit ofbpucks flying into our net p mus he brings zero offense to offset the d-flaes he brings.
