Hossa went through Detroit before signing with the Hawks. If Kaprizov is really intent on leaving, he's gonna get traded to a team that he's willing to extend with, and it's not gonna be the Hawks.

Only thing is Hossa was on an expiring deal going to Pittsburgh and a one year deal to Detroit so he had all the control not Detroit where in Kaprizov's case he's a RFA no?Hossa went through Detroit before signing with the Hawks.

I don’t think he ends up hitting the market but he would be a great pickup obviously if he hits free agencyWhat about Rantanen? Colorado hasn't extended him yet and they have a very tight cap situation as it us and the Landeskog thing makes it even more complicated. Does he hit the market?
Bertuzzi-Bedard-KurashevSuggestion for lines. Bedard and Kurashev clearly have some chemistry so why not put them back on the same line? They clicked on the PP in Milwaukee and both play a fast game.

Reichel
As uninspiring as Reichel has been he’s been much better then PelletierPelletier on waivers.
I would claim him.
Or if he makes it through waivers, that's a good trade candidate for Reichel, and Chicago can keep Pelletier in Rockford for a bit.
Congrats to Allan on legit making the team. Phillips was brutal all preseason.
Brandon Bussi on waivers
While Brossoit is out, Bussi is a better backup to have over Soderblom
Yeah Brossoit will be back in like a week or two. If Soderblom plays one leg of the back to back at Winnipeg or Edmonton (sacrificial lamb) it's not a big deal.Soda has actually been pretty solid this preseason. Brossoit isn't gonna be out long. It won't kill the Hawks having Soda get a game if need be.

Phillips was on a pretty decent development path early on but has stalled out the past couple of years. I'm afraid he is what he is and will bounce from team to team.

You never know but you’d figure league wide teams would be saying “if he can’t make the Blackhawks he can’t be very good” amongst the sea of other names on the wire. Every team has an Isaak Phillips around.I wonder if a team claims him
Still young and with NHL experience. Not worst gamble to take for a #7 option for team with cap restraints
