2024-25 Roster…too soon?

Shanahan is likely out of a job next year regardless. Keefe maybe by the end of the week. Treliving is a new GM and that organization is desperate. Never underestimate overreactions. Stan blew it up after a sweep. Weber got traded for Subban. I actually don't even find Seth for Marner that farfetched.

Unlikely, sure. Delusional? I think not.

Never turn your tank until you have your Defensemen. Oilers. Leafs.

Poor guys trying to flip Marner for an equal defensemen.

Meanwhile equal defensemen on the market:

I’d do Tavares for Jones. Let’s be real, I’d take nothing for Jones. If we can get out of that deal, it would be a miracle.

You don’t think he’d put up 60 points here and fetch at least a 2nd at the deadline?
I think he's a season or two away from being washed, personally. He only put up 45 points at even strength. He would have much tougher matchups here, isn't a line driver, and wouldn't have a good power play to play on. No, I really don't think he would put up 60+. I think he'll be lucky to do that with the Laffs next season.

If I was as bad as Tavares and Marner in the playoffs and had 2/3 of the fan base hating me this much you couldn’t get me out of there fast enough. Waive my NMC. Vaya con dios.

I certainly wouldn’t be talking about how “I’m a god in Toronto” like Mitchy today. That kid is clearly the youth hockey 4’ ringer we all grew up with playing up three years with a nut job family. Except he actually panned out.

If the Leafs wanted to move Tavares the same way that Boston moved Hall. If it fits the cap space and adds a player of that quality for nothing. Along with his leadership qualities then why wouldn't you add him?

Any interest in PLD from LA? If they retain $2M he would be a solid 3rd line center at $6.5M. I don't know if he plays with enough heart and jam for the Hawks though?

If the Blackhawks don’t win the lottery, I think they will likely pursue a second-line center this offseason. The Blackhawks want to be more competitive next season and bolster their top six. That includes adding another center, taking some of the burden off Bedard and aligning Jason Dickinson with more of a third-line role.
Frank Nazar will be in the mix for a roster spot out of camp, but there’s no guarantee he’ll win it. It wouldn’t be surprising if he spent at least part of next season with the AHL Rockford IceHogs. The same could go for Landon Slaggert. And if Nazar and/or Slaggert show they’re ready, the Blackhawks will still have a few roster spots with flexibility.
Stephenson makes a ton of sense as a 2nd line option

That’d be one expensive 3C for 7 more years. I doubt LA trades him, they gave too much to get him. Wouldn’t want to send anything of value back for the primadonna.

Dubois is a pretty good player, but there seems to be some contamination with him and the Hawks want to build cleanly.......Chandler Stephenson would be a better choice even if not as offensively productive as Dubois.

Dude is the most soulless good hockey player you can imagine. If his last name indeed in ov he's a Don Cherry wet dream. Hard pass.
