2024-25 Roster…too soon?

Anything to give the Hawks a boost. Youth usually does that for a bit. I would rather watch young players than those at end of career.

Well if they bring up Nazar the average speed of the Hawks goes from a snail to a turtle so that is nice.

They have 30 days to send Anderson down without needing to put him on waivers again. So Nazar will be up within a month
With the NHL roster freeze from December 18 through December 28, would that toll the 30-day window of time to assign him to the AHL as well?

Are we sure they're not going to move a player or two out of there and bring in some new ones?

Makes sense that Sorensen would want a player or two who knows exactly what he wants them to do compared to some of the vets.

With Richardson, I wouldn't be shocked if there were some malcontent vets that overstepped a line or players Richardson viewed as a problem.

Richardson was many layers of bad, but I don't think KD would have kept him around a full year after his expiration date without identifying other changes he wants made.

Vlasic-Kaiser,Allan-Murphy,Korchinski-Brodie,Crevier pairings today. Subtract Murphy and Brodie, add Jones, Lev and Rinzel and I'm good with that.

I'm ready to put Brodie on waivers. If someone, however unlikely, claims him, then wonderful. If not, let him mentor some kids in the minors. I'd be excited to see what a defense of Vlasic, Jones, Kaiser, Murphy, Allan, and Korchinski looks like. Then when Martinez comes back, you can play Brodie with Korchinski in Rockford.

God he's bad...

I mean seriously, let's say that in 2 weeks, Jones and Martinez come back. Are you going to keep him in the lineup over guys like Kaiser, Allan, and Korchinski?

Pretty much everyone thinks Allan is doing well except Musto, who believes he should be sent down and a guy who's struggling in Rockford should be brought up.

If there's anyone didn't already know Musto has no idea what the hell he's talking about, they know now.
If I couldn't write positive stories about Blackhawks players with poor analytics, I'd have very few positive stories to write... I think Allan has been admirably steady considering the situation around him, even though he hasn't been perfect. Not to complain because I love my job, but it's not easy to cover such an awful team (for years and years) and still strike the right balance of positivity and negativity. Inevitably I'm sometimes stretching for positives.
