2024-25 Roster…too soon?

Yall are reading that chart wrong. Murphy is among the fastest D in the league. He's the best player since Pavelski for deflecting pucks into the net. He'd be a Norris contender on any other team.

well, he is good at deflecting pucks at least....

If Trouba's bloated ass contract netted NYR a 4th, Murphy retained should get us a minimum of 3 firsts.

It won't, but as I've said before, big RHDs cost a fortune; especially those with name recognition.

That really is a staggering trade....no idea what Anaheim is thinking taking on 1.5 years of 8 million per for Trouba and actually PAYING a draft pick for the priveledge. Murphy for 3 #1's indeed compared to that.

I guess they could flip Trouba @ 50% for a 2nd or 3rd round pick or something.
Maybe, but why pay a pick for the privledge of doing the Rags that favor? Anaheim should have gotten a pick from the Rags as well as whatever they might get to flip him with retention. Has the cap going up and going up more made cap space THIS worthless. Trouba if you squint really hard is MAYBE a 3-4 million a year player based on what he does on the ice at this point, and the 4-5 per the Rags dumped should have been a couple 2nds to move.

They just recalled Korchinski. I'm gonna be pissed if they did it only to play Crevier and have Korchinski sit in the press box.

Well then

I like this if for no other reason to give Sorenson some guys he's familiar with. I think Nazar could prove to be ready, although I'm not quite as sure of that with KK. A lot of that might be a sour taste from his performance in the NHL last year, though.
